Check your oven’s thermostat
Everybody should probably have one of these thermometers around, and this one is as good as any. If you’re wondering why stuff takes longer in the oven than it says it should, this thermometer will tattle on your oven’s thermostat, and let you know how much heat is really going on in your oven.Large and easy to read, you should be able to read this thermometer without even opening your oven (although you may need a flashlight). Works as it should, pretty cheap too. Recommended.

Excellent oven thermometer
Almost perfect thermometer for measuring temperatures in the oven. Accurate, very easy to read. The one minor quibble is its size….it can be difficult to position the thermometer in the oven with cooking dishes. The Taylor is definitely an improvement over previous thermometers.

Accurate Thermometer But Very Large
I ordered this product because I noticed my oven temperature was not accurate. I needed something that would be easy to use and give me a accurate temperature I could rely on. We have a high-end large Thermador oven that is on the older side so I knew I needed to test how off the temperature actually was.This product has met those expectations and is very accurate. This product is wonderful and it has done everything I ask of it. The only complaint I would have is that the thermometer is fairly large. If you have a small oven you might have to put it on the second rack and that would limit your ability to use both racks while cooking or knock into it multiple times. But, that is my only complaint.The thermometer has a hook that allows you to hang it on the rack or a stand so you can set it on the rack. The thermometer is easy to read and the numbers are written fairly large so you can read the temperature while it is hanging and you will not have to touch it while its hot. This allows you to monitor the oven’s heat accurately and easily. The product quality is also very durable and will be a kitchen tool that will last for a long time.

Does exactly what it says it does
Iâm a pastry chef so itâs very important to me to know exactly what the oven temperature is as it can dramatically affects things that Iâm baking. I own about 5 of these – both for home & the restaurant. I can set them up in the middle of the oven and still read them easily cause of the larger size. I love that you can hang them from the rack above so they donât take up space. Very accurate and easy to use.I just bought one for my father-in-law who is in his 90âs and heats up all the frozen meals they received from food service for he & his wife. He was complaining that he couldnât get the meals up to temperature – I sent him one and it turns out his oven is off by nearly 40 degrees. Now he just adjusts the temperature dial and waits for the thermometer to register 350 degrees. Now heâs a total boss chef !!!

Works as advertised but functionally annoying
This works well as a thermometer, so as advertised. What’s annoying is that it’s made to dangle off an oven rack. This works until you have more than one tray in the oven and you knock the thermometer off every time you check your food or remove it from the oven. Not a deal-breaker but it drives me nuts anticipating it each time I open the oven door.

Ya lleva en uso varios meses y me sirve muy bien para medir la temperatura del horno que no siempre es la que marca la perilla por la distribución de calor. Me ha funcionado muy bien para hornear el brisket, la panceta, el pork shoulder. Se cuelga perfecto de las rejillas del horno y es fácil de manipular. Alcanzas a ver bien la temperatura sin tener que abrir la puerta.
