I use it to check food temperatures. Works real well. Can even measure temp of food inside a sous vide bath. Easy to use and easy to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius

Honestly I don’t really have a complaint about this, I do wonder if it’s getting accurate temperatures at times, but I’m pretty sure it is. Especially considering I have a temp sticker on the side of my tank and when I measure the temperature with the gun on that side of the tank it says usually the same thing or around the same number as the temperature sticker. Really good price on this Thermo gun, would recommend for those with reptiles!

Too darn hot!
Translating my pizza oven from C° to F° requires a big math brain. This allows my average humanities brain to figure out the correct temp to make perfectly crisp pizzas in 5 minutes. Iâm sure there are other applications for this but honestly, none more important than my pizza oven.

Great for checking car brake temperature
I recently purchased this handheld meter to check the temperature of my car brakes after driving a while. I had recently changed the pads/rotors/wheel bearings and felt like it was slightly pulling right. The previous right wheel bearing had worn out early. I thought perhaps the brake piston was sticking a bit.After driving 16 miles at highway speeds – braking often – the meter indicated both front brake rotors had similar temperatures. I took readings several times at different distances, pointing at the rotors through the openings in the wheels. The meter’s “beam width” increases with distance, so I thought it important to test the difference.This meter is very convenient and easy to set up and use.Perhaps not super rugged, but great for the price. Listed accuracy and (temperature) range of operation is great for mechanical and computer projects.I would buy this meter again.
