Spatter shield
This is a super versatile piece in your kitchen! The silicone shield can be used to cover a frying pan or to cover a boiling pot of sauce. The cover has holes to allow the steam to escape while keeping your stovetop clean. The shield can also be used while using your hand mixer or immersion blender to keep the mess in your mixing bowl or kettle! The shield has soft finger-like opening in the middle where the shaft of your hand tools can protrude through and keep your ingredients where they should be! The shield is easy to clean and can be folded in half and hung to store. I highly recommend this product for anyone and recommend it as a great gift for anyone who enjoys cooking!

A bit thick
The thickness of this item doesn’t allow all the steam to escape, this difficult to get the Maillard effect ( browning). It is a nice design in the way it folds up one side at a time, and it does keep food from splattering all over. I like it, just wish there were more ways for steam to escape.

My most favorite splatter screen ever purchased.
This thing is so handy. The fact that it folds and has no handle makes it very easy to store. It’s thick enough to contain splatters but still lightweight. It completely covers a 12-inch frying pan. You can grab it by the little edges that stick out on the sides to move it without needing to use hot pads, so it’s no problem that there’s no handle. And, it’s got an area in the middle that you can push the beaters of a hand held mixer through so your batter doesn’t splatter all over. It’s silicone so you can wash it easily in the sink or dishwasher. I highly recommend it.

Works Well
I bought this to use as a splash guard on my frying pan and it works well for that purpose. I realized that due to the composition of the material that it would discolor in the dishwasher, so I have been washing it by hand. However, it discolored anyway. This is my only complaint, since I am particular about keeping my cookware pristine.

If, like me, you hate cleaning the hob after cooking, you’ll love this! Just using a lid to prevent oil or juices splattering everywhere isn’t always what you need, particularly if you’re trying to reduce, but this allows the water to evaporate whilst still stopping splattering. The fact that it folds up makes it easy to add things in whilst cooking and also for storage. Cleaning it is straightforward, too. All in all, a great buy!
