Sturdy
This is a sturdy 6″ spider that is attractive and well made. I had one that was 5-inches, which I gave to our daughter and discovered that I prefer the smaller size. So even though this is an excellent tool, I returned it and reordered a 5″ replacement.

Great strainer
I love this strainer. I make big pots of pasta but I am 75 and can no longer safely drain the heavy pot. I got this strainer and I can empty the pot while it is still on the stove. No more overcooked pasta. I can strain it myself.

I didn’t need an expensive, super duty utensil. I was hoping this wasn’t too cheap and flimsy, and it is not. It is a good quality for the price. If you need thick and heavy duty, buy a more expensive one. But, for occasional needs, it gets the job done. I am happy with the value.
