Not super fancy but it’s 12 cups and works well.
TLDR:It’s not fancy looking. It has a 12 cup pot and a reservoir that’s easy to fill without spilling water everywhere. I recommend for consumers of large quanities of drip coffee but not for people trying to “swank” up their kitchen/office space.Pros:It has a timer so you can set it up before you go to bed and not be in that irritating “I need coffee before I’m coordinated enough to make coffee!!!!” situation I have sometimes found myself in some mornings. The pot is huge. The reservoir for the water is wide enough, that I can literally just dump the pot over and fill it in a second or two without spilling a drop on the counter. That’s been a pet peeve of mine for the last several coffee makers I’ve owned. Well done Black and Decker! Well done!Cons:It’s not fancy looking. It won’t turn off on it’s own. Like. Ever. Left it on for 2 days when I left town. Was still on when I got back. coffee completely dried up and burnt to the bottom of the pot. But, didn’t get hot enough to harm the counter and I don’t think it was an inherent fire hazard any more than leaving the tv on when you’re not in the room. Just a heads up, if you are like me and will forget to turn it off, it won’t remember for you and you’ll have a pot to scrub. All in all, I like it and feel it was a good purchase for me. If you’re like me and just want consistent coffee in volume and easy filling, this is a good setup to get.

Simple and effective are GOOD!
The B and D, model CM1160B, is simple and easy to use, and brews a tasty carafe of coffee as well. Setting a later time to brew is not complicated. Four steps and you’re done. Mine had coffee waiting for me this morning exactly as I had programmed it to do last night. I have read reviews about a “plastic taste.” Yes! You can get that taste if you don’t clean it well. Read the instructions! I looked at other brewers, some “smart” ones, too, for $100+. Don’t bother with them, unless you’re going after neighborhood bragging rights. Net cost for B and D: $37 and some change; that’s about $1.50/month for a two-year use-life. Final thought: I love the smooth, ergonomic carafe handle that fits my hand perfectly.

First time not using a Mr. Coffee
I wasn’t sure what to expect but reviews were good, so I decided to try this brand to replace my Mr. Coffee that was old and heating plate ruined.Works like a regular coffee pot. The one thing I did notice is that I put the coffee filter, grounds, water in and snap the lid shut before putting the pot underneath. The spring for the filter tends to sit snug and if the pot is sitting in the machine and I add the filter holder, it doesn’t sit right. No problem, just changed my habit and it works great.

This coffee maker is not easy Peezy when making just one cup of coffee.
Although youâre allowed to make as many cups as youâd like with this coffee maker, generally my husband and I only make one cup a day, each using different types of coffee. The actual plastic bucket gets full of coffee, grinds, and sometimes those coffee grinds end up in the coffee itself. We even bought the Coffee liners that went with this coffee maker and sometimes they donât stick or adhere to the bucket of the coffee maker therefore they fold over and thatâs how the get into your coffee. I really would not recommend this coffee pot. Sometimes the water doesnât totally seep through the coffee liner. It just sets there so you have to open the lid and push down on the bucket for it to squirt the coffee out into the pot. Especially for single cups youâre probably wondering why we didnât purchase a single cup maker. They are junk!

Just what I needed in a busy house
My Keuring Duo pump went out recently, and since I’d only been using the carafe side I decided to pick up this coffee maker as a replacement. Honestly, for someone like me who just brews full pots for a household in the mornings, this does everything I need it to do. It has an Auto programmable feature which hasn’t failed me yet, and the functions are pretty simple. If you don’t need anything fancy and just want something that works, this is the one.

Good quality for the price
Writing this review after I have used it daily for several weeks.I would purchase again, good quality for the price. The only flaw is when you pull the pitcher out to sneak a cup of coffee while it’s brewing, there are usually a few drops of coffee that drip onto the burner. So I have to clean off the burner a little more frequently (minor issue).

Good coffee, simple to program, and easy to clean.
This coffee maker is exactly what I needed. It is simple to program when I want the coffee to brew. Easy to start if you just want to make coffee. It uses paper filters which make clean-up easy. The one I had before had the mesh filter and that was a pain to empty and clean. The only negative is how the lid fits into the handle. It is a little tricky so much so that I broke a set of the teeth trying to get the lid to snap back in place. It worked out, as the other set of teeth keeps the lid in place and now it is easier to take on and off. I recommend this coffee maker.

Makes a lot of coffee and noise
I love almost everything about it. I can make a lot of coffee or a little, it is easy to clean, the clock and program settings make my mornings easier. Nothing like having a fresh pig of coffee ready to go as soon as I wake up!However, no matter how many times I read the instructions or go back and see what is wrong, it makes this loud pop/banging sound while it brews. It sounds like the drip head is just banging up against the top of the water chamber each time it suctions water up. It is so loud that sometimes I think it’s going to pop open.
