    OMG! Incredible!
Important to note: My comments are in the context of having been a Vitamix user for over 20 years. We bought the Ninja because we were looking for something to replace our Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus. We were attracted to the Ninja because the reviews said it turned out more consistent results compared to others. We also noted that people warned about how quickly it could turn ingredients from chunks to mush. Both are very true. What we love about the Ninja is that it’s super light, and easy to assemble and clean. It’s also very quiet compared to other machines. And, the bases are super stable–no traveling across the counter as our Vitamix wants to do sometimes. What’s remarkable is how quickly the Ninja breaks down ingredients. We’ve been going crazy making nut butters, including peanut and pecan butters. That’s where the Ninja totally shines in comparison to all other machines (and we’ve used them all, from the Vitamix and Cuisinart to others!). Quiet, effective, and speedy are the three words to describe the Ninja. We also made raw cranberry relish (raw cranberries, apples, whole oranges, and dates) that the Ninja zipped out in seconds. It’s true that the Ninja won’t turn out the kind of silky smooth cream soups that the Vitamix will, but if the Vitamix earns an A+ in this use case, the Ninja earns an A-.You also can’t beat the price: Less than 10% of the cost for a Vitamix. Do the math. It’s a simple equation if you don’t absolutely need silky smooth textures. And there’s no comparison with the Cuisinart Mini-Prep, which we found to be noisy, OK for salsa and courser chopping, but not great at nut butters. For the easy of use, what it produces, quietness, and price, the Ninja can’t be beat.

Great value for the price, and a powerhouse little unit!
I was looking for a blender so that I could make some smoothies for my daytime eating (to make things easier and healthier), but didn’t want to spend a fortune to get something that was easy to use, easy to clean, and a very good blender. A few friends of mine recommended a Ninja blender, so I decided to give this one a shot. I couldn’t be happier with my choice! As a blender, I have to say this is by far the easiest to assemble, use, and clean that I’ve ever had access to. The blades go together in a second, and you just drop them down into the carafe onto the little peg to get them situated. For a typical smoothie, I toss in frozen berries, some ice cubes, a banana, some yogurt, and a little soy milk. The lid snaps on easily without having to play with it forever. Then just set the electrical component on top of the assembly and hold down the large (and only) button, and you’re on your way! When everything’s done whirring about, it pours nicely out the spout of the lid, and you can stick the whole thing in the fridge if you have some leftovers.Clean-up is amazingly simple, as well. Even when I use a soy protein powder, this thing practically rinses clean with just hot tap water. I’ve yet to need to scrub with any real effort to get it spotless, including the blades and lid. You can put it in the dishwasher, but it’ll probably fair better if you wash it by hand.A few things you should keep in mind if you do purchase this blender:1. The place where the electrical component attaches to the blade shafts can get spattered with the blender’s contents if it’s full enough, or if the mixture is thin enough. After using the blender, always check that little indentation on the electrical component and clean it immediately with a dry paper towel, cotton swab, or whatever else you have that’ll fit in that area. If you let things dry up in that crevice, it can be hard to clean later.2. The spout on the lid pours very well, but if there is anything on the rim of the spout when you go to snap it shut (as if to store leftover contents), then it will be spattered about your counter, wall, or shirt. Make sure you wipe that area nice and clean before closing the spout cover.3. There is a tiny hole in the bottom of the blade shaft where it slides onto the peg inside the blender carafe. Make sure you have a pipe cleaner or thin wire brush (or something similar) to clean up inside that tiny crevice after use. I had a set of wire brushes meant for cleaning out straws and the spouts of sports bottles, and they work perfectly for this.4. These blades are extremely sharp. Far sharper than those of any other blender I’ve used. Handle them with extreme care, unless you dislike having all the fingers you currently possess.5. There is only one speed (Speed Awesome!) and you must hold down the button for it to blend, so you can’t walk away from it after turning it on. You do have to stand there and keep the button down to have it continue blending for you. (Essentially, it only pulses.)Bottom line, I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a blender for a good price, and doesn’t want to work too hard to clean it afterwards. It also comes with a food processor assembly, so you really can’t go wrong!

I am not disappointed at all
I chose this blender because I was looking for a more compact, and hopefully also quieter blender than what I had owned in the past, and I wanted to be able to make healthy shakes. I am not disappointed at all.The Ninja Master Prep comes with two container units – one that is 48 ounce size, and another 16 ounce one for chopping, etc.; two blade assemblies, two lids, and two splash guards, one motor unit, and the instruction guides. To use the blender, you place the blade assembly inside the mixing pitcher container, then add your ingredients, place the splash guard on, and place the motor unit on top. Holding the motor unit with your other hand, press the large front button part and it begins to blend. The food processing part works the same way, but I have not used that part yet. I will update this review when I do.The motor unit works with both containers, is light enough for me as an older woman to move it back and forth from one unit to another with ease (it’s actually very light, but very powerful). This unit does a splendid job of blending well, and is much quieter than blenders I have used in the past. The only caution I have is that the blade assemblies are extremely sharp and must be handled with care, and kept out of reach of little ones. The cord on the motor unit is the standard, 3′ small appliance length. One of my favorite aspects of this purchase is that the parts are all dishwasher safe, which saves me time hand washing. It is fast and easy to add your ingredients and get them blended, because the pieces go together easily. The blender will not work if you do not have it correctly assembled, but it if not difficult to use at all. I had no problems at all, even on the first use.Pros:* Multi-use unit – not only blends shakes, etc., but also doubles as a food processor, doing your chopping, etc. for you* More compact than larger, bulky blender* Quieter than other blenders I have owned* Very easy to use* Sleek, attractive design* 48 oz. and 16 oz. containers come with lids and double as storage containers* 48 oz. container has a handy pour spout for pouring your liquid and frozen concoctions* Easily blends frozen drinks, such as frozen smoothies* The push button blending motor can be used to pulse or held down for blending* I love that there aren’t chunks of unblended food at the bottom of this when I make something, since the blending action is at the top!* The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and include a trouble-shooting section* The motor unit, pitcher container and splash guards have been designed to make them easy to grip, so it is very easy to keep the whole unit stable during blendingCons:* Blade assemblies are very sharp and must be handled, cleaned and stored with extra care. Keep out of reach of children!* Short cordIf you are looking for an easy-to-afford blender that runs quieter than most and does a great job, this is a great buy. If you like appliances that serve multiple purposes, this is a great buy. If you want a blender with a more modern appearance, this one does.Overall, I would highly recommend this product. I did not originally plan to do a review on this item, but I was so delighted with its performance for this price, I wanted to share my views on it.I will update my review as necessary, as I continue using this product.

The food processor chops like crazy im always tempted to just toss in garlic instead of using a knife.Initially got this for my son to use as a blender. I ended up testing it before him.PROS: easy to use. I like that the motor is up top, no risk of anything spilling on it. Changing it from blender to processor is easy too. The blender pitcher is nice, and has an opening if you wanna pour liquids in, or to use as a spout for pouring. The food processor container has measurements which makes life easier. They’re both plastic but seems high quality (we’ll see i guess). I use the food processor to make cauliflower rice and all it takes is 5 pulses to get the right consistency. However since the container is small, a head of cauli takes about 6 trips to rice-ify the whole thing. It also comes with 2 lids for each container, which i thought was a nice additionCONS: when you remove the motor top, it flips to one side or rolls cause it’s round. Wish it can stand on it’s own. I dont think you can use it for thick blending, i tried blending some really soft potatoes i cut into small pieces to make into mashed potatoes and the motor ran hot. I got scared, didnt wanna break it, so i stopped lol. The food processor container is also small but maybe all processors are like that? All in all i’m happy with it. I also got it for $58 so pricepoint-wise it’s also good. I hope it lasts a while!

Very efficient, unique design with two blades in the chopper and two blades in the blender, easy to use and super easy to clean. Lightweight and an overall good product at a fair price.

This blender is so awesome! It is light weight, super quiet, and easy to use. Just press the top down, voilà!! I just received it this morning, I gave it a quick wash and used it for the very first time for a nice cup of frozen fruit smoothie. It blends so well, no chunks left at all, super smooth! And I was amazed how quiet this machine is! The actual blender cup is bigger than I thought, I thought the larger cup is a size of a measuring cup ( for baking ) , it came to a nice surprise, it is a full size cup ! Just like all the other full size blenders on the market! For the price I paid, I gave a solid 5 stars for it!!

I’m grateful to my Ninja for rescuing me when my blender broke. It’s easy to clean despite several unfamiliar bits like threateningly-sharp, double-decker blades and an external, removable power drive. But while my Ninja replaces my blender, it doesn’t quite liquify vegetables quite as well although it purées fruit just fine. It takes a little longer to do the job too. Cleanup is easy, it has good quality parts and it deals with soups and smoothies well enough to make me forget about my blender and appreciate it for the great little helper it is. I didn’t find the food processor good for much.
