Nice TV, easy setup!
I considered getting a larger TV for several years before finally ordering one last week. I got a good price, and it was delivered in 4 days, just as advised when I ordered. The Amazon delivery driver carried the package upstairs without being asked, and was pleasant and helpful. The TV itself is quite light, and I was easily able to unbox it myself (but anything larger than the 44â would need 2 people). The legs attached easily, and the cord and HDMI cables were obvious and easy to hook up. I had the unit in place and connected in just over 5 minutes.Since Iâm not very tech-y, setup of new electronics is always a worry. I turned on the TV with the remote, selected my wifi network and entered the password. The TV then cycled several times through âdownloading softwareâ and âinstalling updatesâ screens. I was worried that I was stuck in some tech vortex, but just waited. After about 10-15 minutes, the TV prompted me to sign in with my Amazon account, asked whether I wanted extra channels or parental controls, then boom, it was on its regular Home Screen and I was good to go!Picture is clear and colors very saturated compared to what I previously had. Sound is good (general purpose, Iâm not a music critic) and refresh rate very adequate for TV (Iâm also not a gamer). I think that for my purposes (occasional TV viewing, probably less than 8 hours per week), this will be an excellent set that I will enjoy.

Excellent tv, paired perfect with Amazon sound bar
Easy to link up with iPhone. Picture is excellent, fast response to remote control unlike LG or Vizio I had before. Many apps are already available. Great value compare with other tv set I bought

Liking it so far!
Mounting it was extremely easy (although I had my dad do it but heâs got all the carpenterâs tools; a stud finder, power drill and socket wrench set will do that). Itâs very light for such a large TV but still pretty sturdy and well designed. It has more HDMI ports than most newer TVs out there, big bonus, as well as optical, USB and Ethernet ports. As far as interface, super easy. I used Roku previously and this was not a huge leap. It connected to my Amazon account automatically and I had my three other streaming accounts hooked up in minutes. But it walks you though the usual setup the first time you power it on: language, all first time updates, a choice of apps or TV channel searching (can be skipped then added later) and then goes directly to the Home Screen where you can add what you like. Very simple and easy to understand. It doesnât take forever to load when switching apps; it almost instantly just takes you to where you left off when switching between them. Absolutely love that feature. It does power down when idling on still screens too long but waking and resuming is quick too. The picture and audio settings are a breeze to tweak through the remote. The sound and picture are just right as well; the sound is crisp and balanced and the picture has easy defaults or can be customized. I always turn down the backlight because they always tend to be brighter than i like but it was simple to find. Switching to inputs or new apps is one-button; you donât have to keep backing out to get to another quickly.Honestly very impressed. I donât need a lot of bells and whistles so I like when the things I do need a TV for are simple and seamless. Itâs super easy switching between TV and three gaming consoles. Easy to add a HTML splitter and take advantage of more devices on one input if needed.Iâm the first person I know to get a Fire TV so it was a gamble, but it definitely paid off. Very worthwhile to get a mount if you feel confident installing it (you can always pay for installation if not). Itâs a great TV to take advantage of newer game consoles. Personally, the Omni series had a bunch of stuff I didnât need, so if you just need a TV for streaming and gaming, the 4-Series doesnât disappoint. On a side note, I saw some reviews about a âbright blue standby lightâ that no longer exists as of this review. Itâs a softer whitish light and not very bright. If a standby light does bother you at night, invest in black electrical tape. Iâm not sure why people drop so many stars over minor personal issues. If you do happen to have pet peeves about electronics, itâs always best to research before you buy! And yes, companies do read reviews and see customer suggestions so nitpick away to improve their products. Either way, I have no complaints on what I ended up with.

Beautiful LED picture, light and thin!
The picture on this TV is great! You can adjust and fine tune an enormous amount of aspects of the picture. It took me quite some time to figure out which settings appealed to me the most. There are settings like “Movie Bright”, “Movie Dark”, “Sport”, “Natural”, “Game” – almost an overwhelming set of choices! I went back and forth comparing them to figure out what I preferred. Take some time to read the manual – there’s tons of info in there! Now I have to upgrade some of the movies I own to take advantage of the 4K clarity! It’s really amazing. I was able to view some 4k content from some movies I own in the cloud and it’s really stunning! The remote works just like my old Fire stick did, which is really nice. I like using the Alexa button for voice search. You can hold in the Alexa button while searching for something and just say what you’re looking for, instead of the laborious “typing” option. Fantastic! This seems to have a slightly “zippier” feel to it than the old stick. It behaves exactly the same as the stick which made it an easy transition for me. I was able to set up all my apps fairly easily, but that does take some time. While Amazon remembers what apps I had on my stick, I still had to authenticate them all. Oh well – that’s not Amazon’s fault. The bottom line:I think at the price, this was a great value for an upgrade! I went from a 47″ plasma TV to this and it’s a really nice experience!
