POWERFUL
This heater is powerful. I use it in my work office which is about 500 sq ft. Emits strong heat almost intolerable heat if close to your skin which can be adjusted. Also blows cooler/room temp air. Love the safety feature as well where it cuts off if tipped off its bottom. Its small enough to put in a desk drawer or in a small space. I keep mine in the small space between the wall and desk near the surge protector when not in use. No odd smell. Timer works without issue! Its not stylish enough IMO to put out in the open as a decorative item. But thats not its purpose for me. Highly recommend for the performance and price!

Quality heater, but not worth the brand name
TL;DR: All portable electric heaters draw 1500W and gradually circulate air through a room until the ambient temperature matches the internal thermostat. This one does it while in black. Compared to the VEVOR 1000W/1500W model (at the same size), the B&D model giving similar performance while retailing at 3x to 4x manufacturer’s suggested retail price (only buy when this is on sale). The design is used in quite a few models on Amazon; it’s lightweight, easy to use, and is in a goes-with-everything black. The model heats up quickly and cools off even faster, making it convenient to carry. The fan is quiet enough while the anti-tip peg underneath is quite wide, like a 5th leg (meaning the device has to actually be tipped over before it shuts off). The biggest draw for me on this model is it’s low power mode is actually low-power (which is less stress for my extension cable — I know the instructions say not to use those as they WILL heat up with excessive power drain, but the 750W mode is much easier on those). It’s still hot enough to keep warm, though not a great source of instant heat (which you will need to turn to full power to achieve). At full power, it will be very hot up to about 8 inches away. At low power, that distance gets cut in half. Like the Vevor, this is best used under a desk (where the air is partially trapped between your legs and the “fireplace” surrounding the heater) or at face level where you can just feel the heat right away. And any knob-style thermostat is very inaccurate; the lowest the knob goes is like 75° and unless the room is barely bigger than the heater, the ambient temperature will almost never hit that.If you’re getting a portable unit, emphasis on portable, AND you don’t have many outlets available, this is actually a good low powered unit to have while reducing the chances you’re going to blow out a surge protector.

Nice and toasty
I like the size as it is easily portable. Heat come out immediately but it depends how big of a space you are trying to heat as that can increase or decrease the amount of time it takes to heat the room. Not super noisy but you can still hear the fan. The best feature is the safety feature which immediately shuts off when the device is moved or tipped over.

Overall, a pretty solid little heater that puts out a lot of heat for a medium sized room
I feel that with my 250 sq. foot room, it heats it up pretty solid and pretty quick. In fact, I rarely use the full heat setting, and instead use the low (low or high options are all there is). I feel pretty warm with the heater pointed towards me and a few feet away. It heats up pretty quick, even on that low setting. The higher heat setting feels a bit too hot for my needs, but it is good to have to heat up the room even quicker, or if it was even lower temps in the winter, that is powerful heat. One CON so far: I don’t like how when you turn on the heater, it defaults to just the blowing fan, so there is no heat if you don’t select that option to turn on the low heat first, or press again for the higher heat. It bugs me, because you have to remember to hit that heater button after turning it on.I think of it being a scenario where someone in the house uses the heater to start heating up a room, but only turn it on, forgetting about the requirement to select the heater…and if they think they set it to start heating up the room and then walk out, they will return to a colder room than before because only a fan is blowing. SMH.I don’t know why there is only up to 24 minutes for a timer…once you get to 24, if you keep pressing the up/increase button, it starts over to 0, so only up to 24 minutes. It’s not that big of a deal though, because I would say that it can heat up a small room in that timeframe pretty easily, from let’s say 60 F up to 70 F in that time frame on just the low heat option.Another CON is how the remote doesn’t come with the dang battery, so I had to buy a CR2025 battery, despite also having other coin-style batteries for other devices. I wish it could just be a slightly thicker controller and use one or two AAA batteries or something, but oh well, it’s a pretty small remote. Hopefully doesn’t get lost either because of the remote’s size.Otherwise, I like how small but how hot it gets, even for its size. The rotation function is nice if you feel a bit too hot with it blowing in your direction, directly. So, it will oscillate a bit, like some fans do. I don’t recall the rotation degrees, but it’s fine.Do I recommend this heater? Yes, for the pricepoint, I do, but I did get it for around $30.00. I wouldn’t be able to say for sure at a price much above that…I do trust the overall quality of Black & Decker though, so I expect it will last for some years to come, where that price point makes it seem a bit more solid of a recommendation too.

Easy to use
I bought this for a friend who is 84, practically blind and is going through cancer treatment. She is not very strong physically so this being very small and light is good. She can’t see so being able to hit one button to turn it on and it being set on the setting she wants is perfect! Heats up her bathroom well. Also, it has a safety feature where if it tips over the lever on the bottom releases and it shuts off. She is very happy

All I ever wanted in a heater.
I got this for my office. Works very well, heats in seconds, heat adjustable, only fan option available, sits on a floor. It is versatile. Even looks good, not too bulky. I have got no smell issues with this one. I Highly recommend.
