Since this review has to be strictly about the product and it’s performance I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars. When reviewing a makeup product at a minimum level, I try not to expect more than what the product claims via label, titinstructions etc. The essence Volume Booster Lash Primer is one of only a few drug store price range lash or mascara primers still on the market that is effective at priming the lashes and not costing over 30 USD. It doesn’t, however, provide noticeable volume even with two coats. For maximum efficacy I use it in conjunction with another primer and then layer mascara over both until I ave the length, volumeand definition I am trying to achieve. One tip I would give for using this primer (and most primers on the market) is to not let it dry completely before applying mascara or you will end up with stiff, crunchy feeling lashes. I think that is the number one reason people are turned off by mascara primers as the directions say to “let the product dry before…” when it should say “…let the primers dry for a few seconds but not completely…” The photo of my lashes is not optimal but I wanted to show what one layer (my right eye- left side of photo) and two layers (my left eye- right side of photo) look like with mascara applied over it and after wearing it for about 6 hours.

Hard to cover up the white with mascara
My lashes are naturally long and pretty full but I would always want them even longer and fuller. Unfortunately I didn’t really find this to be very helpful in making my mascara look better or lashes longer or fuller. Mostly I just had trouble covering up the white color fully with my mascara over top of it. It was ok and might be helpful for some lashes but even with the low price I wouldn’t buy it again.

Me ha gustado mucho, da mucho volumen. Eso si, no dejes que se seque porque si no ya no podrás trabajar bien las pestañas. Yo la aplico y espero muy poco y ya aplico la máscara encima. Me gusta mucho el volumen que da.
