Great product for restoring headlights, but be careful with the sanding!
I bought this kit to restore the headlights on my old car, and I was very impressed with the results. The kit comes with everything you need: sanding discs, polishing pad, compound, and a drill attachment. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the process takes about 35 minutes per headlight.The most important thing to do before you start is to prepare your vehicle by taping off the areas around the headlights that could get damaged by the sanding. I used painter’s tape and some old newspapers to cover the hood, bumper, and fenders. This will prevent scratches and scuffs on your paint job, and make the cleanup easier.The sanding part is the most tedious and messy, but also the most effective. You have to use four different grits of sandpaper, starting from the coarsest to the finest, and wet-sand the headlights until they are smooth and clear. You have to be careful not to apply too much pressure, or you could damage the plastic. You also have to rinse the headlights and the sanding discs frequently to remove the dust and debris.The polishing part is the easiest and most satisfying. You just have to apply some compound to the pad, attach it to your drill, and buff the headlights until they shine. The compound works like magic, and removes any haze or swirl marks left by the sanding. You can see the difference right away, and the headlights look like new. Add a coat of clearcoat spray to maintain the clarity for longer.I am very happy with this product, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to restore their headlights. It is a simple and affordable way to improve the appearance and safety of your vehicle. Just make sure you prepare your vehicle well before you start, and follow the instructions carefully. Absolutely amazing!
This product works great! Is very easy to use (mounts onto drill) and cleans the headlights really well! I have been able to use this one kit multiple times, which is a great value for the price.Only negative I’ve noticed is on the vehicle that sits outside and was the most cloudy, the headlights do being to cloud up again after some time. I have bought the 3m kit that have the wipes and that has solved the issue.

Received the product and following the instructions, everything went well and my headlights are like new. It takes some time to follow and follow the steps properly… make sure you take your time, do not rush; and the results are fantastic. I would recommend 3M products to everyone. Great company, making products that are the foremost in technical research and development; a leader in the industry. I was involved in the Automotive Paint, sandpaper and associated products as a jobber, selling and supplying the automotive refinish industry; and they might be slightly higher in price in many things, but they outmatched ALL competitors in their product effectiveness, value and satisfaction. I’m extremely satisfied with the finish of my headlights, including the clear wipe that will protect the clear plastic headlights and prolong the clarity of my headlights; of which I do not see any of the other suppliers providing.

Este producto es execelente en primera instancia, las micas de mi vehiculo se encontraban en muy mal estado rayadas y amarillentas por el sol, el agua mas de 10 años de vida y si bien no quedaron como saliendo de agencia quede conforme con el resultado lo recomiendo. Ahora a esperar cuanto tiempo dura.
