Liked: the wand is thin making it easy to apply a fine line, wand holds right amount of product so you don’t over apply, product is thick and does not dripDisliked: the product did not dry all that well to create an edge that could easily be lifted to peel, product bled beyond my natural lip line making it looked smudged so have to remember to apply within the lip line, color didn’t really hold – started fading within 2 hours, felt like the product pulled some skin off my lips as I peeled it away, small bits remain behind and are difficult to removeColor: Mauh-av just was not good on me, that’s my fault for assuming. It came out a reddish, muddy brown

It was worth a try
After reading all the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I made sure I started with a clean pair of lips. I was quite liberal with the amount I applied based on reviews.When I first applied the product it looked almost black. I didn’t get nervous about that though especially since a lot of the reviews states it doesn’t show up well when it peels off.I decided to let it stay on for about 30 to 35 minutes. There was a small amount of difficulty with pealing it off but not too bad. Once I pulled it off I will say I was disappointed. While I could see the color barely, it definitely wasn’t what I was wanting. It stayed on for a few hours.The pics I added are 1) me before applying 2) me during application 3) after application 4) with lip gloss. As you can see, not a big difference.Overall it was disappointing. I will continue to use until I use it up.

I actually really love it!
I was really surprised how much I liked this, especially given the mixed reviews. I went into trying it knowing that it was going to be fiddly to apply. It’s not the easiest process, that’s true, but the outcome is worth it for me. I’ve tried a few brands of lip stains that stained exactly nothing. This is the first I’ve tried where the stain lasts more than a couple hours for me. I absolutely hate the texture of color stay lipsticks so this is a great option for me. The tricks are to exfoliate prior and make sure you haven’t applied any kind of moisturizer recently to your lips. Then before applying, wipe your lips dry with a paper towel. Work quickly and drag it across using the side of the wand head. Keep your mouth open as it dries, those who had issues getting it to dry down are having that because you can’t let your saliva get on it. After it dries roll your lips inward to start the peeling. I use tweezers and then pull off the peels. Then use a damp paper towel to wipe the rest of your lips down to remove excess wet color. It will last a lot longer if you don’t apply chapstick or gloss, but you can if you want. I got the color P-inked and I’ve been wearing it daily for almost a month now. So if you can be careful and patient this stuff is great.

I really like this product, because I think the colors are right up the alley of what I want from a Lipton, and not super bright. I love the mauve color and I definitely will re-purchase that one again since I’m almost out of it!I think the applicator is very user-friendly!!! What I tend to do is use the stain twice where the first round. I am doing an overall stain on my lip, and in the second round, I go back, and just do the lip liner! It gives it a much better dimension.However, I will state that just for me this thing doesn’t particularly last as long as stated. It often rubs off in about three hours. I also don’t find it very easy to peel. I wait until it’s fully dry and it tends to come off in pieces and I have to take something else to rub it off which gets frustrating because it ends up staining my fingers.Regardless of that, I will still be purchasing this product again, because I find it to be one of the better lip stains on the market!!

I was excited for this product as have lost pigmentation in parts of my lips. To use it is very easy which is great however I was really disappointed with the duration of the tint. Wearing a waterproof lip liner lasts way longer and for a fraction of the price. I feel silly now paying £30+ for this product as is a waste of money and time. I even left it on for an hour to see if this would prolong the stain however it did not. Would not recommended.
