Gorgeous and comfortable
I purchased the shade “Amythyst”.I’ve seen this clear color changing lip balms for a while, namely the “winx” brand at target and ulta. I think I tried one on at ulta and did fancy it.I wanted to buy one for a friend of mine as a Christmas present because she’s been wanting one. I did some browsing and ended up going with this brand (catkin). It had the highest rating per review, and the packaging was very pleasing, we both love Asian dramas, so this Chinese brand seemed fitting.I was skeptical about if it would work, the colors looked light on the picture. Naturally, I was going to try it out first and then repurchase for my friend if it met my expectations. And oh my god it so did.First of all, my skin is of a medium complexion with olive undertones, and this showed up beautifully! The color I chose is a light pinkier color on the picture, but on my lips it’s a little darker, literally just by a shade, and maybe more red. I made my sister try it out, her skin is darker than mine, by a shade or 2, she has more of a brown complexion with neutral undertones, and on her, it deposited pink, very much like the picture. I don’t know the mechanism behind ph changing technology in makeup, but these are my results. Both of us loved it.Second, I don’t wear makeup often, and I’ve gotten out of the habit of wearing any lip color. I used to wear a lot of dark colors, liquid lipsticks, and regular lipsticks, but it’s such a hassle to maintain it throughout the day. So, this is such a suitable, happy medium for me. I get to wear some color on my lips without looking overkill. If it smears, the color doesn’t slide all over the place. It’s just so pretty and natural-looking, which I’m now obsessed with.Now, in terms of the color payoff and how long it lasts, it’s almost like a stain, I notice that even if the shine of the balm goes away, there’s still a light color left over. I don’t find it to be dramatically buildable, you can definitely reapply, but it looks like the same shade just refreshed.Third, I’m very sensitive to the feeling of stuff on my skin. I don’t like lotion, or the feel of oil on my skin, I hate gloss and most chapsticks because they tend to slide all over the place.BUT THIS BAAABBBYYYY, oooo boi !I am so thrilled to have discovered this brand and product, I actually went on their website to buy an entire set of these. If you have severe dry lips, I don’t that this really cater or advertises to those problems, but as far as an every day hydrating lip balm this goes above and beyond. It delivers a very light but nourishing feel with it being to slimy or sticky or dry. Its the goldilocks of balms in my opinion. When I have this on, I don’t feel tempted to take it off like I do with others because it’s just that comfortable. You don’t feel it on your lips but it’s there.If you’ve been looking to buy a clear color changing lip product, I highly suggest going with this brand. It’s beautiful both in deposit and packaging; it has a magnetic closure which just feels very luxe, secure and durable. The artwork is just gorgeous, it’s effective at delivering a nourishing and comfortable layer on the lips along with sporting a beautiful natural color 🙂

Very smooth
I’m actually very surprised with this I thought it would be thick like a lipstick as others I have bought in the past but this is great it’s exactly what I was looking for the softness of a smooth lip balm but with a hint of color it looks natural and not over the top it’s also not thick it’s breathable and the casing it beautiful it’s with a magnet closer so the lid just slides on with ease it’s well worth every penny there is also no sent but overall it’s very nice.

Lipstick doesn’t seem to moisturize or maintain it’s pretty color very long. It’s a shame too because I was so impressed with the beautiful case and the perfect color. If only the lipstick held more moisture and longer lasting color, I would be completely sold and buying it for my friends and family!

Awkward Holder
I don’t get this stuff. It works okay, goes on well. But it doesn’t last five seconds if I eat something, take a drink, or kiss hubby. And this blocky, feminine holder … I’m forever taking out the balm backwards. I’m sure lots of women say, “ohhh, it’s so pretty.” But it’s blocky, like I’m carrying around a large Lego in my pocket. I get annoyed when I pull it open just to find the lip balm in the wrong hand. Happens 99% of the time. I don’t buy lip balm based on what the outside holder looks like. I buy it for the balm itself. I won’t be buying this one again.

I like the color it creates, I love the little glitter hints, and it is undoubtably a gorgeous tube. It feels heavy too, like a good quality metal and the design is textured. Very nice.As with all color changing lip products ive tried, the texture just feels somehow drying, so itâs not my favorite, and I donât prefer the taste. The tube closes magnetically, which is cool, but its a little weak and it is a little risky since it opens so easily.Overall worth it. I will definitely wear it
