Amazon Basics Glass Food Storage Container with BPA-Free Locking Lid – Set of 14 pieces, clear with blue silicone ring

Beautifully packed, attractive food storage
These arrived today (Mon, Jan 16, 2023) and very pleased with how well these were packaged for shipping. True to photos and other positive reviews. Once I’ve used and washed, will update this review as to leaking, cleaning, and durability. So far, so good! One of the main reasons I bought these is that they are borosilicate glass which should be more durable in the dishwasher (though lids are recommended to be hand washed). I do a lot of food prep for both freezer and fridge, which these glass containers are intended for.UPDATE Monday, January 23, 2023: One of the smaller rectangular containers had a defective lid. It was very difficult to take it off in order to wash and use it but I did not get that far because once opened, the blue plastic tabs would not re-close. I contacted Amazon and they immediately sent me a replacement set which I received today (Monday Jan 23, 2023) and in unboxing, the very top larger rectangular container had one broken blue plastic closure tab (see attached photo). The smallest broken piece was sitting on top of the cardboard inner packaging but I had to completely empty the box of all of the containers in order to locate the other two broken pieces, which is important because this tells me that the damage occurred during shipment and not in packing at the Amazon warehouse.Since this is the second delivery of this same item, it was very disappointing but Amazon made good on their customer service and goodwill efforts toward me, and I received resolution on this issue. Amazon has promised me full credit due to the inconvenience of not receiving what I originally paid for and having to contact them several times now about it. Amazon graciously is allowing me to keep and use the rest of the containers which do not seem to have any issues, so far, so good. I have checked them all to be sure, but as you can see, this lid still has the protective plastic wrap on it, immediately out of the box this afternoon. It is a shame that being an Amazon Basics product, that Amazon could not simply replace the defective/broken lids from the first and second deliveries, so that is my only criticism of this process but it worked out well enough in the end.As the glass is borosilicate I can still possibly use the two containers now without lids for baking and maybe a small birdbath on my patio… or something. Sometimes, things don’t happen as they should and Amazon rectified the problem to the best of their ability. Thank you, Amazon, for helping me with this issue today. I really appreciate it. Will update once the refund process is completed.UPDATE Wednesday, Jan 25, 2023: I’ve already used and washed these containers. My new favorites!!! I baked a piece of salmon yesterday in the larger rectangular container after thawing it in same. They wash well in dishwasher but remember to hand wash the lids (some plastics do shrink with too much heat), as some other buyers have verified in their reviews. RECOMMEND

Wouldn’t buy again
The inside rubber seals on the cover continually come off and it’s a bit@h getting them back on. I don’t know why they aren’t permanently attached. Very frustrating. They are nice sizes and the clamps on the sides are nice and tight but I wouldn’t buy these again because of the annoying seals that fall off.

I was hesitant to buy these as they are amazon basics but I was glad I did. Very comparable to the name brand snapware. Just kinda oddball sizes in the pack.

These are lovely. They wash nice in the dishwasher too.

I am on a keto diet, and I have to cook separately for my children, apparently cauliflower mash, is a big no no for them. I bought these dishes for my shepherd’s pie, I can cook in the oven and then freeze. Plenty of different sizes, so I can defrost a bigger one for two days worth of dinners at home, or a smaller one to take to work for lunch. These dishes can be put in the freezer and microwave, I’ve had no problems with the lids and are held securely by clips. I’ve made lasagna and bought the dish straight to the table, definitely nice enough to be a serving dish. They look lovely as well. Would I buy again. Yes definitely.

Partimos que tenía ya dos recipientes de la marca Luminarc , y que a día de hoy están como nuevos tras dos años y comparándolos con estos , estos de Amazon me han decepcionado , las gomas de cierre son más duras , las pestañas de cierre se desmontan solas y el plástico de las tapas se nota de mala calidad.Despues de un mes ya me he arrepentido de no devolverlos al principio y aquí aplica el dicho de quién compra barato, compra dos veces.
