Well I guess that works
So it does help with the itch because my dog isn’t clearly needing to scratch and rub on things. But she did thr common dog thing and immediatly went to lick the area I sprayed. I discouraged her but she got enough of it to begun hiccupping for an hour and then vomiting overnight. She is not happy and I don’t know if I’d consider it cruelty free, if it makes them hiccup and vomit, but she isn’t itching…. won’t be using it again lol

Seems to help the itch, no smell and poor lather
This shampoo does not lather much at all. That probably makes it rinse better and helps with the anti-itch, but means you will go through a lot more if you are trying to wash a medium to long haired dog. There is almost no scent at all, again probably helps with the anti-itch but since it says honesuckle I expected it to have some scent. It did leave the fur soft and seems to have helped a little with my husky’s recent bout of itchy skin.

My American Pit Bull Mix had a heat rash and yeast itch. Our vet recommended a special shampoo for the itching and rash. After using it as directed, our pups itching was worse than before. We tried it again and and found it did not produce the desired results. After reading the reviews for Burt’s Bees for Pets Itch Soothing Shampoo with Honeysuckle, I ordered a bottle to try. After the first application his itching was reduced by about 60%. A week later and a second treatment,, he was still scratching but about 80% less. It’s true that you have to use a considerable amount each time but for our pup its worth it. His coat is clean and very smooth. I found that leaving the shampoo on for the required time is important . I also found the first time we used this shampoo, we apparently didn’t rinse long enough to remove all the shampoo so his coat appeared oily. We ended up re-rinsing which made quite a difference. I would recommend this product as it has produced the results we were looking for.

Our dog has sensitive skin, so we were looking for something soothing for her. We already trust this brand with products for us as humans, and they did not disappoint for our pup! The fragrance is light enough to not be overpowering, but still there so she smells nice and clean.
