They cling sturdily to surfaces: wood, tile, kitchen ranges, even piles of paper.
I love these bright, cheerful little mats so much, I ordered them twice and may yet again, to give them away. They make fantastic gifts because they’re inexpensive and unbelievably handy. Cooks still dealing with cloth potholders or mitts or even thicker silicone mats don’t know what they’re missing. These are light, completely flexible, very easy to handle and clean, and very bright colored so I can find them without a lot of trouble. I clean them with a tiny squirt of Dawn, just scrub them together on both sides, and even greasy substances wash right out.I am a naturally awkward person, dropping things, knocking stuff off counters and tables, and piling up papers I’m too busy or too lazy to file or put away. I move too fast most of the time, and unfortunately, I’m also elderly, so my sense of touch and the movements and flexibility of my hands are hampered by age and arthritis. We older souls have to be extremely, even hyper-cautious, around the heat of range burners, and particularly, ovens and their blazing-hot racks. Real danger is right there, so I arm myself with the mats in both hands.When I mentioned piles of papers, I wasn’t kidding. I can toss a couple of these bright silicone mats here and there on the couch, or work table, side, dining, or computer table. They will anchor things like a cookbook, a magazine, an ash tray, paper clips, a mug of coffee, whatever. They will even anchor piles of paper from other piles of paper.My complete delight with the colorful little mats is that they keep my phone from sliding off my night table. And I have an iPad with a case so slick I can drop it in a nanosecond. I put a silicone mat under it, and the iPad goes NOWHERE. This is a great product!

I’m using these as kitchen trivets, but also as work-holding surfaces for my soldering station!
These things work incredibly well as work-holding pads for my soldering station.I’m working with some SMT components under a stereo microscope. The other work-holding solutions I’ve found take up too much vertical space and require a bunch of fiddling to get into position. This pad does an amazing job of holding a PCB in place while soldering components to it. The pad while allowing irregular solder surfaces to press into it.The hexagonal pattern also provides perfect containers for tiny electronic components and screws. Because it’s high temp silicone, it doesn’t melt when hot components are set down, when it’s touched by the iron, nor when liquid solder spills onto it. The whole thing is so easy to clean and a fraction of the price of those work-holding silicone mats.It also did not come with the all-too-common, room-filling, toxic odor of some faraway factory that many plastics seem to include these days.For the record, they also make fine pot holders and trivets!

Not completely heat proof
These work fine for quickly pulling a pan of cookies from the oven. Unfortunately, heat does transfer through them if held in contact with a hot pan for more than a few seconds.

I purchased these specifically for dog training. These are a nice size for utilizing to teach dogs how to go to a certain spot. They’re nice and light and bendable. So I can throw them and it doesn’t cause any damage. The surface is a honeycomb style and it’s comfortable on my dog’s feet. They are happy to run to them when I tell them to go to their mark. I would recommend these for dog training.I also decided to use them for pots and pans on my table. They work well. If the pot is bigger than the silicone pot holder, I try to double or triple them up so that there’s more space between the surfaces. And they do stack very nicely. I would buy them again.

I mainly use these as coasters on my coffee table. The shape and size is perfect and I love how they grip surfaces and how easy they are to clean, but they are not easy to dry as water has a lot of places to go. Highly recommended!

I really like this product. Works really well and looks nice
