I really like this thing.
Everyone kept telling me they love their air fryer, so I wanted one. I became obsessed with finding the perfect one for me so after a month I settled on this one. First thing I made was berry crisp, threw the stuff together in a couple single serve bake dishes, set it to 350 for 40 minutes and it was perfect. No preheating, no heating the entire apartment, just perfect crisp. There were several complaints from other buyers who said there were missing pieces or their units didn’t work, or initially worked and then stopped working. Mine came very well packaged, no damage, all parts included, so I have no complaints there but I understand if maybe some sellers are less thorough or trustworthy in regards to the products they provide. Some complained that it was loud. This is the most quiet kitchen appliance I have ever purchased, it makes less noise than my microwave. Also, I’m not quite sure why people complain that the drip tray isn’t large enough, it’s literally the same dimensions as the bottom of the unit, so any spill-over should land on the tray unless you’re filling this unit over capacity somehow, not sure how that is possible. I also want to mention that although heat did radiate from the unit immediately around it, it did not heat up my kitchen and it stayed warm to the touch but it wasn’t hot so despite baking for 40 minutes I was able to open the oven door with my bare hands. . . Anyway, I’m very happy, so far. This is only day one so I will come back and update.***Update*** Sept. 25. . . 2 months after purchase:Iâm still in-love with this item. No electrical issues, whatsoever. Looks like others have had theirs just outright die after working perfectly the first few days or month. Thankfully, that is not the case with mine. Others also reported the door not shutting properly or at all. This, too, has not been an issue. Iâve basically used this item every other day since it arrived. The only thing I will say is that there is definitely room for improvement. But, Iâm just not picky enough to care, I am content in my complacency. For those of you who do care about such details: The temp is set in increments of 10 degrees, 5 would be better. Also, if you decide to stop cooking sooner than the time youâve set it for, the unit never turns off like it would if the timer completed and itâs âfinished.â There is no âclearâ or reset button or even an on/off button, so if it bothers you that the screen doesnât power down and displays the minutes remaining until you decide to use it again then youâre forced to just unplug the unit and plug it back in. And when the timer is done the âBEEPâ is very loud and it will beep 5 times, no matter what, it will not be silenced until it has completed its beeps. But there is actually an updated model of this item so these features might be improved (although I have no idea) but it might be worth checking that newer model out if these would be issues for you.**8 month update**The plastic on the handle has cracked, but it does not interfere with the functionality and I am still in love.** 2.5 year update, Jan 2024**Still works with consistent use!

does not last long
I really did love this air fryer and used it very often. I purchased this March 13th, 2022 and it died April 3rd, 2024. Doesnât seem like itâs made to last, I saw a similar review of someone who purchased one the same month and mine lasted only a short time after theirs stopped working. Spend the money elsewhere & be sure to check the reviews!

Not Great, Not Horrible
After years of people telling me to get an air fryer, I went Christmas shopping for myself. The reviews on many fryers were pretty good, so I broke down and landed on the Chefman 10qt. It was an excellent Black Friday deal that came with a payment plan. It had the oven door style that I preferred over a basket, came with three (3) removable, dishwasher safe wire racks and rotisserie, had several optional settings (including dehydrate), and would fit under my upper cabinets.Upon arrival I saw that the countertop footprint is relatively small. Plus! Even when pulling it away from the wall to allow for air flow while using it, the door still had room to fully open without hanging off the edge of the counter. After a couple uses it was easy to get the hang of. Personally, I preferred to use my instincts for cooking rather than relying on the presets, so I cannot speak to the settings in detail as other reviewers have. Overall, the food turned out right. The problem I had with the one I was shipped is the continuous plastic smell. It was cleaned, used a few times, cleaned again, but every time there was a smell of hot plastic. To be somewhat expected since the entire casing is plastic, but not something I enjoy emanating in my kitchen. The door, while definitely closed during cooking, was a bit tough to open which started causing the heated plastic control panel to bow in the spot you place your thumb in order to open the door. The fan, on this model anyway, is loud. I was a bit startled when firing it up for the first time as it reminded me of an airplane engine as it’s warming up its rpms. I chalked it up to my never having owned an air fryer before and that it may be normal. I have found out since, that should not have gotten as loud as it did.I’m only removing one star because this is my experience with the particular item I received. Other reviewers have not had these issues so it would not be fair to rate the overall product as bad, just merely a moderately bad experience for me.Final thought: Cleaning the Chefman 10qt is super easy! While the description shows you can place the wire racks in the bottom of the dishwasher, the instructions say not to. I did, of course, and they came out fine, on heavy wash, each and every time. Just be aware that the racks are small, so there is no baking a 9″ round cake. Also, I went to the Chefman website looking for accessories to fit and found nothing but links for their various fryers all leading back to Amazon for purchase.

This is my first air fryer, I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially that I already have a very good convection oven range, but I wanted something smaller that I don’t need to pre-heat and consumed less energy for smaller portions. This fryer works great, and the results are also far superior! For example, sweet potato fries are always difficult get get crispy without going dry or burning in a convection oven, and in this air fryer, it was super easy to get top results. I appreciated being able to watch the food doneness with the window and integrated light. Garlic bread results are out of this world, not anything like I’d get with a convection or on broil, I’m not sure why, but I suspect the hot air also fries a bit the butter and gives it an delicious nutty taste. I also tried reheated pizza, this needed a few tries, and I got the best results by preheating the pizza slice in the microwave first to get it nicely warm/hot, and then a quick 5 minutes in the air fryer to get a very nice crispy crust. You really need to have a bit of oil on the food; I tried spring rolls without oil and the results were not great at all, but just a brush of oil makes the difference.Although there are multiple trays, I found that two trays with sparsely spread out food items what the max it could take and still give good results. Otherwise the lower trays don’t get enough heat and don’t fry at the same speed. The mesh trays feel a bit thin and are occasionally difficult to slide in when the oven is cold, but they work very well and surprisingly very easy to clean despite not being coated. I believe they’re easy to clean because the food cooks from the hot air moving around instead of heating the tray. In all cases, I get to clean them with a sponge, whereas in my convection oven my air fryer trays often got super sticky and very hard to clean, despite being coated. All in all, I think these trays are perfect for this oven, and I’m hoping they will last well.I’m not sure how well the oven itself will last, I’ve read reviews that units failed quickly. In my case, I’m not seeing any sign that it would break down any time soon. It looks well built, runs quietly, and the touch controls are entirely electronic so they shouldn’t fail. There’s a halogen lamp inside the oven for lighting the food, it looks like replacing it would require disassembly, but since halogen lamps last a long time and work great at high temperatures, I’m not too worried at this point. All in all, I’m very happy with this air fryer, and crossing my fingers that it will wear well!

I bought this air fryer about 2 years ago and still have it. Pretty good overall. The dial is great, just turn it to adjust time and temperature. The presets are pretty accurate and good, and if need to be adjusted a few extra minutes or less heat, just turn the dial. Food comes out great, looks good too and is easy to use. I usually make 1lb of Wings and fries at the same time no problem… You can either make Wings for 2, fries for 2, or Wings/Fries for one.Downside is, the size is a little small to make a whole chicken as rotisserie. I’d say 1kg at most or the chicken will get stuck and not turn properly. Also, the handle (one of the most used and important parts of the machine) is made of cheap plastic and breaks. Chefman should’ve used something more durable for the handle.Overall, I would recommend this product, and if they ever decide to design this machine to be a little bigger inside (Fit more food) and better handle, it’ll be a perfect machine for the single people out there, a must have.

Funciono perfectamente, pero hoy a la mitad de cocinar se apagó. Y ya no volvió a encender. Ya no tiene garantÃa? Donde la puedo mandar a arreglar?
