I HAD PURCHASED A DIFFERENT THERMOMETER FOR $30.00. NOT ONLY WAS IT SO COMPLICATED TO READ, IT BROKE AFTER A MONTH. THIS ONE IS EASY TO READ, MY MEAT CAME OUT PERFECT! SOMETIMES LESS IS BETTER. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES. BUY IT, YOU WILL HAVE IT FOREVER!

Oven Safe
I had purchased another thermometer and did not realize that it was not oven safe so unfortunately it was ruined in the oven. So I searched for one that is oven safe as I do not like putting it in and out to check on my poultry. I have used this several times and it works great and is very easy to clean. I highly recommend this thermometer.

OK Thermometer
This thermometer seems to get the temps ok, but it would be nice if it had a plastic sheath for the insertion rod. Next time I will also look for one that lists the meats by the temperatures. I like that this can be placed in the oven, at least briefly. Would not recommend cooking with it in the meat.

Works like a Charm
I do not like electronic thermometers and was so glad to see you can still buy the manual ones. I’ve seen many bad reviews on this, but I cannot say that. It would well for me. I get an accurate reading each time I use it. I might go ahead and purchase another one just to have one hand. A home cook can never have too many.

Great replacement temperature gauge for our kitchen
The dial is easy to read, is not an instant read thermometer but replaces a hard to read smaller temperature gauge and works just great in our kitchen.
