I rarely post reviews. I hit the stars on everything but to actually type out something positive or negative just isn’t my thing unless something is epic. Well, this product is EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!I have bought so many different kinds of mascara over the years and finally settled on Thrive that I’ve used for years now. I hate the high cost though and honestly; I feel like their formula has decreased in quality the last year. I can’t explain it. Anyway, this stuff my 12-year-old daughter asked me for because all of her friends were using it. At the $5 buck cost, I thought…I’ll try one for myself…the reviews were great. I mean WOWZER! I waited until I had worn it all day through a workday. I put this mascara on over 12 hours ago, glided on so easy and smooth… like none of the mascara’s I’ve ever used and boom! Thick and volume lashes with no clumps. I don’t look like spider legs are growing either.I will say that it’s flaked a bit this afternoon but seriously it hit the 12 hour mark with no problems whatsoever.

I was looking for a new mascara and saw this positively recommended/reviewed on multiple TikToks. This is my honest review of the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, from someone who has tried it all.The price is VERY good compared to others on the market. The applicator brush is pretty simple, straight (no curves), with brush bristles. The bristles really grab onto a lot of the product so you just have to be careful that you aren’t applying too much and that there isn’t product on it that has already dried/clumped and is stuck in the bristles. I recommend cleaning the applicator every couple days to avoid clumpy lashes. The mascara itself is a dark strong pigment and is a thicker gel like consistency.Application is easy but as I stated, this can make your lashes clumpy if you’re not careful about cleaning the applicator between used. I find that it looks better with one application, and if you do multiple applications the lashes clump and the product looks too thick. It stays on well throughout the day, but I do occasionally see flakes of mascara under my eyes by the end of the day. My lashes look darker, longer, and thicker… but maybe a bit TOO thick when it clumps.Overall, I’m not in love with this mascara, but I don’t totally hate it either. If you are looking for a super inexpensive mascara and are very careful about application, this isn’t a bad purchase. But I likely won’t be repurchasing it.Hope this helps!

Better than top expensive brands! My absolute fav.
My sister used to swear by Thrive mascara. I always paid for Lancome or Clinique. Not anymore. Absolutely love this Essence False Effect Mascara in black. It truly is the best, I have barely any lashes lol. Not tried waterproof yet, but this regular stays on all day long and it looks like I have lots of lashes. And think of all the money you save when you are replacing every 3 months.

I love high-end mascara, but have been looking for inexpensive options for everyday usage. I saw this brand getting so many excellent reviews and decided to try it. HOLY WOW! I was so impressed and these pics are of just one coat. I think I found my new favorite mascara. ðYou MUST try it. You can’t beat it for the price.

I have used so many mascaras and I saw Bailey Sarian using this a few years back and she raved so I bought it. I have been buying it exclusively for years now and I am obsessed. It’s so cheap and just as good as the high end brands Ive dabbled in. I will never stop using this mascara.

Just ok for me
From what I heard about this mascara and how well it was recommended I was kinda disappointed. It didn’t give me any more volume or length than any other mascara I have used. I’m not a fan of the brush but that goes with all mascaras with this type of brush. I must say for mascara it does what it is intended but if you are looking for amazing length it won’t happen unless you already have long thick eyelashes.

I really like this mascara. I have long, soft lashes and this does a good job of keeping them separated and it deposit the right amount of product. I like the big brush and the shape and raised pattern on the packaging make is easy to hold (‘m looking at you, Cover Girl Lash Blast…slipperly little sucker!). I ordered a second tube from Target and it seemed to be used. I will cross my fingers and order another tube from Amazon and hope that was an isolated case.

I have been on the search for a mascara similar to one I used to wear and was discontinued. this mascara goes on to smooth and heavy, I then comb my lashes, reapply à nd then comb through again and am left with lashes that look fake. I will continue purchasing this mascara

Me encanta esta máscara. Es una de mis favoritas para dar volumen a las pestañas. Aguanta muy bien y con pocas capas te hace súper pestañas. Viene precintada y se aplica muy bien. Eso sÃ, si te gustan con cero grumos no es tu máscara. Esta da mucho volumen y algún grumo se forma, pero yo las peino después con un cepillito de los de cejas y quedan perfectas.
