I really like this scale! I have been using it to measure out ingredients when making sourdough bread, and I will use it in other baking endeavors as well. It has a large surface. I like that it has several units of measure i.e., grams, ml, oz., fluid oz., etc. and that I can tare weight the ingredients and not have to remove my bowl. No batteries needed as you can easily recharge it using the included cord plugged into your own USB adapter and into the wall. This is a very nice tool to have on hand and I highly recommend it.

Bought this scale 1 1/2 years ago.  This rechargeable kitchen scale works like a charm and helps keep batteries out of landfills. Charging it once a month keeps it going. Whole family loves it and uses it.Well, until it met with flying peanut butter that escaped from a mixer/beater wielded by “the man of the house” – short cut gone way wrong….no big deal?  Cleaning the kitchen was a big deal.!!!  Thinking the scale has a IPX6 rating, I was not very careful with rinsing and washing the errant peanut butter off it.  Bad choice, some water and peanut butter mix must have gotten into the electronics and the scale lost its mind.   Well I contacted Etekcity, not expecting much help.  I was totally floored to deal with a super team of customer focused people.  After sending them an email with all the horrible things I had done to the scale (My wife’s comment) as well as a few pictures and short videos of the suffering scale, they informed me that they had decided to replace it at no charge.  Full warranty was 2 years, not including customers messing the scale up.Here is the info on the IPX6 rating that they provided to me after the “incident”: Please kindly note an IPX6 device does not mean the device can withstand the water in the case. It can stay fully functional when sprayed with strong water jets (15psi) at any angle, from a 3m distance for 1 minute. Besides, please make sure the charging port is covered when cleaning. We are so impressed with their customer Service that we have told all friends and acquaintances how well Etekcity items work for us and what great service they provide.Btw, we followed up with the purchase of a body/bathroom scale from Etekcity. I am enjoying this scale. It isn’t totally accurate, as the same thing can be said to be a gram or so different within a few minutes. But the differences are not at all worrisome. If you are worried about a gram either way, this isn’t the right sort of scale for you. For cooking, though, this is wonderful. I have used it particularly to weigh the various things I put in my morning cereal bowl, so that the concoction is more or less the same every morning and is reasonably in line with what the box says is one serving. Since my cereal bowls are large, it is all too easy to pour far too much into the bowl if you don’t weigh or measure the ingredients.Beyond simple weighing, probably the most useful feature for me is the Zero button. You can put an empty bowl on the scale, zero it out, and then easily get the weight of what you put into the bowl. The scale ignores the weight of the bowl itself. As you put the ingredients into the bowl, you can zero it out after each one, to get the weight of each ingredient separately, without any arithmetic. This feature is especially welcome first thing in the morning, when I am too sleepy to do the most elementary calculations correctly.It is also helpful to be able to weigh portions as you divide up meat or something else, such as a big bowl of salad, into single servings. Since I live alone and often need to do this, something to allow me to make the servings equal is invaluable.Of course, the scale is also useful for non-cooking tasks, when you need to know the weight of something small. For instance, are you sure that envelope you are putting in the mail is really under an ounce? Put it on the scale to be sure how much postage you need. (Changing from one unit of measurement to another is just a matter of touching a button, in this case perhaps several times, as the function circles through the various measures available, rather than jumping directly to the one you want.)Turning on or off is a matter of touching a button (no need to press; just touch). Operation is quick – most functions are virtually instantaneous. The exception is that the unit “thinks” a bit when weighing. The weight changes a little over a few seconds, so waiting until it stabilizes instead of taking the first weight displayed is a good idea, if you are looking for an accurate result. The change isn’t large, however, so if getting the most accurate possible weight is not important to you, there is no strong reason not to take the first displayed weight. Just know that what displays in the first second is probably slightly off.Charging, which I did need to do after a few months, is much quicker than I expected.. I put it on the charger, thinking that it would take hours, but it charged in much less. I didn’t note the exact time, so I can’t say just how long it took, but I remember being quite surprised at how fast it was.Overall, I am more than pleased. I hope the unit continues to function so well.

Soms gaat het display uit als er te lang niets bij het gewicht komt, maar doe je er dan weer iets bij, dan weegt hij gewoon verder waar je gebleven was. Veel beter dan de andere weegschaal uit dezelfde prijsklasse die ik heb. Die gaat vaak niet uit als je lang drukt. Deze gaat altijd meteen uit.

Enkel och smidig, fungerar precis som förväntat! Det enda skulle väl vara att själva vågplattan ev. är något liten. En stor tallrik skymmer t.ex. displayen. Men för övrigt toppen.
