An amazing tool
This little tool is absolutely amazing. It is lightweight and easy to control. I made peanut butter in the chopper in30 seconds, and a smoothie with immersion blender was smoother than my blender makes them. Throwing away my food processor and blender now.

Be sure to snap in place
Works well for small blending needs. Make sure you hear and feel the click when attaching the whisk or you will make a mess. ð

Wonderful kitchen tool but beware
Had this dream of an immersion blender for 7 months and then one started pouring out of it. GE was wonderful and replaced with no issues but I’m not sure what causes the problem. The plastic gears were completely gone where the bottom blender connected to the motor.

sorry I waited so long
Love this immersion blender. I usually choose my kitchen tools based on Cook’s Illustrated reviews. However, after doing research on both the CI recommended Braun and the GE, I opted for the GE,which is comparable in every way, but has a stronger motor.I thought I’d use this blender to make smoothies and puree soups. I have made both, with excellent results. However, the big surprise is that I use the salad dressing/sauce attachment .I thought it would be one of those add-ons that just take up valuable kitchen drawer real estate.Wrong.Our family is lactose intolerant, and I have used the attachment to make nut-based, lentil-based, bean -based purees and creams almost daily. The sauces produced elevate a simple salad to the kind of lunch salad you pay $10.99 for.But the thing we use the blender most for is to make frothy coffee. (Use wand attachment.) Heat 30 calories worth of almond milk with one packet of stevia, half a teaspoon of sugar,a pinch of salt, and a tablespoon of Nescafe decaf-this is a case where the brand does make a difference, cheap decaf is sour and lacks depth- and froth away. My adult kids no longer buy Starbucks as a treat. We also own a Vitamix, which we still use where you need a flawlessly smooth emulsion- say, when you are whipping homemade cashew milk. The immersion blender leaves a tiny bit of graininess in nut-based sauces, which is ok for almost everything except whipped cream or very fussy soups. One thing I’ll say is that I cleared out my International Drawer where I kept stuff like sushi mats and Indian spice tins, and allocated that space for just my immersion blender and hand mixer. Being able to get at the tool makes all the difference.Oh, and the thing that makes this in some ways more useful than the Vitamix is that I wash all of the small and simple parts in the top shelf of the dishwasher. When I realize I need the wand again I just grab the stick from the dishwasher, rinse it fast, and try something new- most recently, sugar free jello, which is more interesting when it is full of bubbles.Have fun. I’m sorry I waited so long.

Excelente calidad y funcionamiento.. no salpica los alimentos por el sistema de perforación que trae . Las aspas súper filosas y permite un triturado o molido fabuloso. Me encantó!!
