Better to save up a little more, and buy it as new.
I don’t recommend buying this cell phone like this; Better save a little more and buy it as new to Google. It was a mistake to have bought this phone by this means.For 3 months it worked perfectly, and it was the best phone I’ve had in my life. But just a few days after the warranty expired, it suddenly stopped working, is now off and does not react to anything.I contacted US Mobile for help, but they just told me they can’t do anything because the warranty has expired. Now I must find out how to repair it by my own means. I am so sad for all this that I will not buy anything again on Amazon.

Beware defective batteries
 Phone arrived with totally dead battery, which concerned me since phone was supposed to be refurbished with a guaranteed battery capacity (it shouldnât have drained completely during shipping). Charged all day to 100%. Let un-setup phone, sit OFF, all night. Battery mostly dead next day, so obviously defective battery or internal short. Contacted Amazon for replacement. Process didn’t match their pre-selected bubbles so contacted customer service human. She was in a very noisy environment and I couldn’t hear her. When I asked her to try to quiet the background or speak up, she hung up on me. So I tried the CHAT. The support person didn’t know what a phone battery was and couldn’t follow my concerns so I gave up and ordered a replacement. The original purchase was paid for as an Amazon refurb, from Amazon, in Excellent condition with Amazon backing. The replacement was from some third party, Not Amazon, with no notification of condition of phone. Additionally, Amazon wanted to charge me to ship the phone back to them, even though it wasn’t my fault. I spoke to another Amazon rep who basically said he couldn’t help me, but assured me the phone they were sending was good. I will wait and see and may revise this review if phone is good. Regardless, the support and shipping issues are unacceptable. Lesson here is if you buy one, charge it and let it sit for 24 hours, then check battery status before you make the effort to setup your phone…. this is apparently a common problem and they are depending on you to just buy a new battery rather than taking the effort to undue all the setup work for the phone. Replacing a battery in one of these is a major, technical undertaking. UPDATED – received replacement phone. Battery worked. Got one hour into setup and the screen started flashing. Know hardware failure. 2 for 2 ; – (((

Phone delivered on time and perfect condition.
So far the phone, a Pixel 3, is performing to expectation and is a welcome upgrade to my previous. I restored a backup from my old phone which made the migration much easier.Physical condition of this renewed phone is excellent and delivery was prompt.Phone appears to be operating as expected.

Better than a new Pixel 4a!
My refurbished Pixel 3 is pretty great.The only flaw I’ve noticed so far is that The phone’s horizontal gimbal seems to be off by about 4°. I first noticed this when I turned the phone horizontal to take a picture and the gimbal was at 4° even though I had the phone on a known to be level surface. When I tilt the phone 4° to get the gimbal to read 0°, the phone is at a noticeable angle. So far this isn’t actually an issue for me but might be if I try downloading some game that requires me to tilt my phone around.Overall, I wish I would have purchased this refurbished Pixel 3 for under $200 before I ever purchased that new Pixel 4a for $350+tax.

The product: The Pixel 3 is not a new phone. If you are here, you know how good it is or what you may not like about it. I am coming from an original Pixel, so this one is easily familiar, but much more polished.Renewed Products: Wanted to go Renewed to get more for the buck. Also, I like the idea of reducing electronic waste by purchasing used. I got a perfect phone. No indication it was even used before. I have Verizon, so activation was as simple as switching the sim card.Choice of Seller: Decided to purchase through this seller’s Amazon storage account instead of direct just because I trust Amazon’s shipping network. Could have gotten it $10 cheaper by going straight to the seller (still using Amazon’s payment portal). Took me a bit to figure out that was the difference. Also went with this seller (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/at-a-glance.html/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_sellerprofile_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&isAmazonFulfilled=1&marketplaceSeller=1&orderID=112-1429733-4635438&seller=AO1LGXGNS33JB) due to his overwhelming good reviews. Fewer reviews, sure, but I also liked the content of them better.Shipping: Two days as promised. Safe container. Came with another Amazon order, so it was nicely ensconced with other packages in a bigger box. Another reason to purchase from the Amazon storage facility.Contents: I received a charging cable and adapter from Amazon Basics. That is fine with me. NOTE: I still had my connector cable from my original Pixel. It was necessary to transfer all the data. If you don’t have a cable like this, you will need to purchase one separately.

Not even a factory reset can remove this- phone is designed that way to prevent theft. Seller did not properly reset the device, so it is as useful as a brick.
