With the Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper Food Processor, there’s no need to stop and remove the lid to dislodge food from the side of the bowl. The built-in scraper does the work for you, even while the processor is on for continuous processing. Kitchen tips: For a more uniform consistency, start with pieces of food that are similar in size. Cut food into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces before processing with the chopping/mixing blade and leave room in the bowl for the food to be tossed around. When chopping foods, pulsing on and off will produce the best results. Operating time will depend on the quantity of food being processed. Most foods can be sliced, chopped, or shredded in seconds. To slice or shred cheese, use firm cheeses like Cheddar or Swiss that have been chilled for at least 30 minutes. Soft cheese like Mozzarella must be placed in the freezer for 30 minutes prior to processing to ensure it is firm enough for shredding. All removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe.
Bowl scraper attachment: Special attachment scrapes the sides of the bowl to keep ingredients close to the blades for more even results and to save you time when chopping or pureeing — no need to stop and remove the lid to use a spatula
10 cup capacity: The generous 10 cup bowl can handle large volumes of foods without having to stop to empty it
Large feed chute: Can fit large foods like a whole block of cheese for quick, easy processing and less prep time
Versatility of a food processor, food chopper and vegetable chopper: Reversible stainless steel disc slices and shreds, while the stainless steel s-blade chops, mixes and purees
2 speeds plus pulse and 450 watts of power: Food processor’s low and high speeds plus pulse gives you the control you need for a variety of recipes
Included Components: S-Blade for Chopping

Can’t really go wrong for under 50 bucks
This unit is replacing a 10(ish)-year old Hamilton Beach food processor that I had a love/hate relationship with. Finally, enough parts wore out on it that I could justify buying a new one (even though, realistically, it was still working). I wasn’t stuck on the Hamilton Beach name, but this happened to fit my needs and my wallet.I can’t say the unit feels particularly high quality. In fact, when I first took it out of the box, my initial thoughts were that they somehow forgot to put a motor in it. The base of my old one weighed like 5 lbs and this entire setup is a fraction of that. That is likely the reason the quality feels lacking. The switch in particular feels only ok, but for $50, I don’t really have room to complain.Strangely enough, I rarely use it for food. Instead, we use it to grind up soft dog treats into powder to sprinkle over dry dog food to make it more enticing. Enticing, to the dogs, not to us. It tackles this chore with ease. I’ve used it for making hummus and slicing up onions, and it handled both of those jobs like a true champ. The stated capacity is 10 cups, but as is the case with almost all food processors, that is only for dry goods. The liquid capacity is 2 cups, if you go by the line marked on the bowl. I filled the bowl up with water until it was spilling out of the hole in the middle, and it held 6 cups. So figure it’ll easily do 4 liquid cups without spilling down the center shaft, since liquids are thrown outward when the blades are spinning. However, the top is not hermetically sealed to the bowl, so some liquids might dribble out down the sides on high speed if you push past the rated liquid capacity.Honestly, I don’t know how so much power and speed comes from such a lightweight device. The motor noise is not horrendous, but I’ve only had one other food processor to compare it to. It is probably a little quieter than the old one, which is not to say that it is silent. The noise is more of a high speed whirring sound than the throaty growl of the one I retired. It’s almost a hollow sound, which again, does not instill a lot of confidence in the quality. Perhaps I’m just partial to heavy tools. Performance-wise, I can’t think of anything negative to say. The base even has suction cup feet on the bottom to keep it from jumping around the counter. The food scraper is a gimmick, right? I had already made up my mind to never use such an obviously far-reaching add-on before ever taking it out of the box. Then I tried it once. Honestly, I don’t think it has been separated since. It doesn’t scrape down below the height of the blades, but it does clean all that loose stuff off the sides fairly well. The scraper is just made of plastic, but it is well-designed and effective. I now have to wonder why this feature took so long to evolve. :)UPDATE: Over 2 years later and still going strong. We don’t chop as many dog treats with it as we used to. The dogs are old and we have resorted to giving them grilled chicken breast, which we can only chop in small batches or it goes bad. So we use a small chopper. But I have absolutely no complaints about the performance or effectiveness of this product to date.UPDATE: Over 10 years later and still alive. Who even updates a review after 10 years? The food scraper broke a few years back, so that’s long gone. The pusher thing has a crack in it, but I’m sure the culprit was one too many drops on the tile floor and not a design flaw. The rest of it is intact and still runs great. It’s crazy that I doubted the quality of this appliance, and it ended up outlasting the original.

Works great
I researched several food processors and read many reviews before purchasing this food processor. This one is perfect for my kitchen because it has a large bowl, lots of power, suction cups on the bottom to keep the machine from dancing around the countertop, easy to clean, has a bowl scraper(which initially I was indifferent to but am glad it came with it) and works great getting the job done quickly!

Easy to Use and Powerful
I had a very expensive Cuisinart processor that frustrated me every time I tried to use it. It was much too heavy and hard to carry. The lid and chute were difficult to line up.I purchased the Hamilton Beach and used it today. It was so easy to use, powerful and fast, easy to assemble, and the spiralizer worked flawlessly. Iâm so pleased. Today I made shredded cabbage for Cole slaw, zucchini spirals, and used the chopper blade to make fresh salsa. You canât go wrong with this processor, but reading the manual first is a must to ensure proper use of the attachments.Thank you Hamilton BeachâIâm in love with it and can now toss a lot of unused implements in my pantry because this processor does it all!!!!

Great product
Works well, feeding hole is decent size, good sharp blades. Cleans easy. it is quite loud and I with there were buttons for pulse instead of a dial but overall, great product.

Great multi-task appliance
Powerful motor – replaced my old food processor and my spiralizer. I read some negative comments about the noise – no problem here. Easy to clean. Good value – I caught this appliance on sale.

A Culinary Game Changer – My Kitchen’s New MVP!
Hey there, fellow foodies and kitchen wizards! Mike P. here, back with another review of a kitchen gadget that has absolutely blown my culinary world apart – the Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper (70735). Strap yourselves in because this little beast is about to elevate your cooking game to a whole new level!First off, let me say this thing looks slick as can be in that stainless steel finish. It’s like having a shiny piece of culinary art right on my countertop, and it’s become the star of my kitchen show. But looks aside, it’s the functionality that truly matters, and let me tell you, this machine is an absolute powerhouse. With its 10-cup capacity, it tackles slicing, shredding, mincing, and pureeing tasks like a pro. No more wasting precious time on endless chopping and dicing by hand. I can now blitz through mountains of veggies in no time, leaving me with more moments to savor my creations. And oh boy, does it make a mean salsa! The consistency is just right – not too chunky, not too smooth – just perfect. But wait, there’s more! The Veggie Spiralizer attachment is a godsend for health-conscious folks like me. Say hello to guilt-free zoodles and ribbons that make me feel like I’m devouring a feast of flavors without the carb overload. It’s like having a secret weapon to keep my meals exciting and nutritious. Now, let’s talk about the motor power. This bad boy is a workhorse. I thought it would buckle under pressure when I put it through the shredding test with a mountain of carrots, but it handled it like a champ. No whining, no stalling – just pure blending bliss. The pulse feature gives me that extra control when needed, which is great when I want to achieve that perfect texture.Cleanup is a breeze too, which is a big deal for lazy cooks like me. All the parts are dishwasher-safe, and trust me, I’ve put them through the wringer, and they come out shiny and ready for the next culinary adventure. The only tiny drawback I can find is that it might be a bit noisy for some folks, but hey, it’s a small price to pay for the incredible performance this machine delivers. So, if you’re serious about upping your cooking game and adding some pizzazz to your kitchen, the Hamilton Beach Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper is a must-have. Here is the lowdown, the blender worked perfectly for three weeks without any issues. Although each time i went for a bowl of hummus or guacamole i would smell the burning of wires. I was told this is common off Hamilton products! After three weeks the kitchen reeked of burnt and suddenly just stopped working. I contacted the seller who said that less than 6 months and the product is out of warranty. So i took the piece to a local electrician who said the wires burned off. After repairing it, again the kitchen started reeking and the piece went silent on me. I took it again to the electrician who said another part went bad and handed it back too me. I spun it 1 more time and boom it went silent on me.
