Bought this set primarily for the silicone bowl scraper. The bowl scraper is a good size – nice and wide, easy to hold, with a stiff core and silicone exterior – a nice extension of my own hand (as opposed to a long handled spatula) when scraping dough out of any size bowl. The straight edge on the bowl scraper is, I think, intended as a bench scraper. However, the silicone edge gives a bit, so I still prefer my full metal bench scraper which scrapes the working surface very cleanly. The smaller, nylon scraper is good for getting residue off of pots and pans. It is actually a little larger than my standard Fox Run type ubiquitous scraper.

The longer scraper is perfect for use with my KitchenAide mixer. The shape matches the curve of the bowl. The scraper is quite sturdy, but the edges are flexible. The silicone surface releases sticky dough much more easily than the standard hard plastic scrapers.

Excellent set of bowl and bench scrapers for home cook
I recently embarked on a homemade pasta adventure, and knew I needed a bench scraper to keep all the ingredients in line. The larger, aqua-colored scraper was perfect for the job. The smaller, grey one would be perfect as a bowl scraper. Each one is designed very well for the intended job. If you need a flat blade, you’ve got it. If you need a round edge for a bowl, you’ve got it. Need to get into a corner? You’ve got it. An added plus to me is that there is no punched-out hole in these for the purpose of hanging them up. Some might see that as a disadvantage, however – without any hole punched into it you will never ever have to worry about water or other liquids seeping their way in underneath the silicone coating. These scrapers are going to last me the rest of my life. These scrapers are bit on the firm/stiff side, which does not bother me – it’s what I wanted.

These are good. Bought it for the larger curved scraper. It’s soft on the edges and stuff in the middle. Stuff scraper is useful too.

These are perfect for scooping sticky sourdough out of the bowl to do stretch-n-pulls, etc. (Yes, I am definitely in my ‘sourdough era’ but have drawn the lines at chickens…..I’m not getting any damn chickens).Nice and sturdy, very well made as KA items usually are!
