Great value – still going strong after 10 years of use.
We have been using the Lasko 20″ Weather Shield fan year round for over 10 years. We placed it on our kitchen window sill, facing out, leaving the screen in place. We use it to exhaust cooking smells, as well as to create a mild breeze through the apartment in the warmer weather. It’s strong enough to pull air in through the living room and bedroom windows, and out via the kitchen; creating the effect of cross-ventilation where our layout alone doesn’t really provide it.I was shopping for a smaller fan for a relative, and looked this up in my order history. I was astounded to realize that we’ve had it for over 10 years.Status report after 10 years:1 – Functionally – works just as well as ever in terms of creating a great air flow, quietness. The only thing that really seems to have worn is the knob to select low-medium-high speed. The switch mechanism is probably wearing out; once in a while I have to switch it between on and off a couple of times while nothing happens, before it actually turns on; and it doesn’t really “click” into the different levels. But we’re still using it, on a daily basis!2 – Noise level – Quiet on low, but has a higher noise level on medium and high, as one might expect. This has not changed over the years. I believe that it has some kind of permanently sealed in lubrication; you never have to oil it.3 – Cosmetically – Maybe a little lacking here because I’ve not been so diligent about cleaning it every year, and the paint on the frame may be wearing thin in a few spots. But you can unplug the fan, unscrew the front and back grids and give it a pretty good cleaning. As we use it in the kitchen, and in the city, it has greasy deposits on the grid and on the edges of the fan blade, but these do scrub off with a good cleaning.4 – We left it in the apartment for 4 months during some renovations over 5 years ago, where it was used by the workmen, and expected it to be demolished when we moved back in, but although they used it every day, it was still going strong when we returned!I would definitely purchase this fan again if I needed to. It was a great value.

Me gusto mucho… no hace ruido, el aire frío y sobre todo si lo colocas en una ventana o en un lugar donde corra aire ya que lo hará más frío…. muy recomendable

Una mala experiencia.

NO SIRVIÓ Muy bonito pero llegó, lo conecté y ni siquiera hace ruido el motor absolutamente muerto. Tantos días de espera para que llegara y fue una total decepción NO compren productos que viajan desde EE UU xq se descomponen en el trayecto.
