Basically perfect
I owned a Surge, which is a great tool but is also an almost ridiculously massive and heavy chunk of equipment to try to carry around in a pocket or on a belt. I also found the blades to be so large as to be strangely unwieldy for common utility type tasks. The tool set, however, is outstanding and it’s as rugged as they come. So it works if you need that sort of size and performance, and are content to consign it to a toolbox rather than carrying it all times. Or if you don’t mind wearing a multitool that weighs in the neighborhood of some light firearms.I also own a Curl, which is a great tool also, but does lack in a couple respects. It’s unfortunate that it does not have the replaceable wire cutters, and has only the single combo blade for a knife. The replaceable wire cutters is actually a big deal, IMO. I haven’t even owned the Curl for all that long and already managed to put a small divot into the cutters, and now the plier action sticks a little. For that reason I don’t really consider it to be a serious “workhorse” tool. It’s more like one to put in a desk drawer.I now have my first Wave+ and have to say I’m smitten by it. It’s only a bit heavier than the Curl but quite substantially lighter than the Surge. I find it to be basically perfect in terms of size and heft. That 8 ounce mark seems to be the sweet spot for pocket or belt carry-ability. The tool set is close to perfect, also, though there are a couple things I’d change. One thing I really liked about the Surge is the much more robust and outside-accessible scissors. I’d replace the file on the Wave+ with that same set of scissors. I’d also replace the saw on the Wave+ with the swap-able saw/file implements that the Surge offers. I guess what I’m saying in effect is that I’d make the Wave+ a scaled-down version of the Surge. But it’s close enough to perfect, as-is, to love it and regard it as basically the king of all multitools.

GREAT QUALITY & JUST THE RIGHT SIZE
A very handy tool that is just the right size for what I do. I don’t need the larger, heavier, more expensive ones.I’ve had the earlier Wave version for many years. Leatherman has made some improvements on the “+” model, e.g., replaceable cutter blades, and the pliers no longer get stuck in the handles when closing them.All good, I am happy with it.

Desde muy joven siempre cargo con alguna multi herramienta, ya sea victorinox o alguna otra marca. Sin duda alguna. Las más útiles son las que tengan pinzas de alicate, te sacan de muchos apuros. Eh tenido varías multiherramientas paracaídas. Esta es la más cara y la vdd cumplen con las mismas funciones, si tú eres fan de la marca como yo. Adelante. Estarás encantado con la compra. Pero si solo quieres una simple multi herramienta común. Esta opción está de sobra

Ik kocht mijn eerste leatherman 25 jaar geleden en die is nog altijd in prima conditie. Maar deze had geen schaartje. Iets wat op reis toch handig is. Het schaartje ziet er niet uit, maar knipt als de beste. Messen zijn vlijmscherp. Alles klikt vast. schroevedraaier, en tang werken fantastisch. Dit product schreeuwt kwaliteit. Ben dus weer goed voor de volgende 25 jaar. Zonder meer een aanrader.
