    easy to make tea
I was spending over $5.00 a week buying tea, and now I make it for pennies. I use 3 of the family size bags of tea and it makes perfect tea every time.

Makes the perfect pitcher of Iced tea every time!
Makes the perfect pitcher of Iced tea every time! We needed to replace our previous Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker of 10 plus years. This is a new model because it does not look or operate the same as our previous model but, nonetheless it still works the same. I have already made several pitchers of tea and this machine is super easy to use. The tea tastes the same as it would with our previous iced tea maker.family and I love brewed iced tea and I will make a few different batches in one setting. One that is sweetened, unsweetened and a flavored mix. To use this machine, add water to the large pitcher. It has a fill line that shows you how much water to add, then you pour that water into the brewing machine placed at the very top. Once, that is done, add ice up to the ice fill line in the large pitcher. At this point you can choose to add sugar or a sweetener with the ice or, you can add it after the tea is brewed. My personal choice is adding it with the ice. Then, put the brewing lid on and put in several tea bags of your choice. I use the large size tea bags and add about 3-4 of them. Put the pitcher up against the brewing machine and make sure the lid opening is facing the machine. That is where the water will pour into the pitcher. Turn it on, and the brewing will begin. It only takes a few minutes before the Iced Tea is ready. When the brew is finished, then remove the brewing lid and replace it with the serving lid. You can throw away the tea bags or place them inside the pitcher, which is my preference. When I am ready to throw out the tea bags I will either put the pitcher in the fridge or, if I am making another batch, I will pour the tea into a different pitcher. Then start the process from the beginning. It is so super easy and fast!Having this machine is wonderful if you like to make your own iced tea. I really like that I can add regular tea and some different flavors like peach or raspberry as well, and make a nice flavored tea batch. Mr. Coffee is a great brand that I would recommend to anyone that is trying it for the first time or, needs to replace their previous model. Not to mention, the price is very affordable.

    Use this all the time
This makes making tea at home so easy. I make sweet tea every week and with this I can have it done in minutes with little work provided from me. I’ve been using this product for years and it has lasted my weekly tea sessions.

    Just Bad. UPDATED
UPDATE: I bought the black Mr. Coffee ice tea maker at Walmart in a box marked “new”. I debated on buying a 3rd maker after two bad models but I really liked this style ice tea maker and couldn’t find any other one I lliked as well. I did a test run. The maker feels like a better quality. The steeper basket has not been changed back to the old steeper style. Disappointing but I can use my old one. In black it would’ve looked nice with their sleeker black. The basket fits in the pitcher nice and not tight like the blue one. The pitcher doesnt slide right under the spout. The spout fits inside the pitcher so I needed to angle it down and then up. Before doing that, i thought the pitcher was too tall. And most wonderful of all, it heated all the water. I hope it continues to work well. I also hope they come out with an actual steeper basket to purchase. In the meantime, I am very pleased with the new black model.Old review:This seems to be the theme of the Mr. Coffee ice tea maker: I had mine for 22 years. I used it every few days. Absolutely loved it. And, then it died. I bought the new new design maker and it kept shutting off too early, before all tbe water had run through. Returned it and bought another hoping I just got a bad one. Nope. Second maker shut off too early. Mr. Coffee had a good product and messed it up with no steeper basket and a machine that just will not work. Maybe by making a quality product they didnt sell as many. However, by making an inferior product, they have lost loyal customers. I’m searching for a new maker but will probably just boil water and let it steep in my old Mr. Coffee steeper basket in my old Mr. Coffee pitcher.

    Good For The Price
Easy to use. Decent size pitcher comes with it. I did have same model many years before and like everything seems they have cheapened the newer versions but still does work well. Makes the tea quickly.

Great Product, Lasts About a Year with Daily Usage
My husband drinks tea all day! When I say daily use of this product, I’m talking about making 1-2 jugs of tea a day, every day! Although they only last us a year (we’ve had multiple of this product), with the constant usage, it doesn’t suprise me. We keep purchasing and will continue purchasing this product.

    Ice Tea Maker is great.
My sister is an iced tea drinker. Every time she comes over she like a pot of fresh brewed iced tea. My last Mr. Coffee iced tea maker lasted at least 20 years but I recently went to get something from an inside shelf and it when I went to lift something else out of the fridge, the shelf fell and what I was reaching for fell along with my iced tea pitcher and they both broke and spilled. So I forced to buy a new iced tea maker. I really like the design. It is not dishwasher safe, but that is okay. The tea tastes great.

    Why Pay More
I have been using this item for over 30 years. My original finally gave up the ghost and I purchased this one. It is exactly the same as my first and I did not notice anything different. I hope this one lasts as long as the original. It is easy to use and I get compliments on my ice tea.

We had one of these when our kids were small and ran it until it quit. By then the kids were getting older and the instant gratification of ice tea crystals seemed a bigger hit. We were reminiscing and I had a look for one of the tea makers like we used to have (Costco at that time) and lo and behold there it was. There were other choices for, in some cases a significant amount more money but this one was a match for our old one and it just happened to be the most reasonably priced. With the heat this summer we have been making a 2l jug just about every day. We now use RO water (water cooler bottled) and by removing the minerals the life expectancy should be excellent for the unit. 4 tea bags of orange pekoe, a 1/4 can of concentrated lemonade right on the ice, ice to the mark on the jug and a cup (usually less) of sugar and we have wonderful ice tea. I also use a mixer jug (spinner inside on a handle) and transfer the tea from the brewing jug to the mixer and add the sugar. It uses quite a bit of ice but we bought a counter top Frigidaire ice machine that is the size of a toaster from Costco ($100) and it makes more than enough ice for the job. The ice machine is also something I recommend, and is available from Amazon as well.

Smaller than my last iced tea maker but I just add extra water during the cycle and pour into larger pitcher and add water and ice.

Ease of use, like the last one we bought years ago. It works well although it doesn’t have the switch to keep the tea brewing in the upper compartment so the tea can steep, which our old one does.
