Our Story
It all began in 1994, with our rescue white lab, Winston, who was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Several vets recommended putting him down, but this was never an option for us.
We began researching alternative medicine while working with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian.
After several months, we developed a natural joint formula that gave Winston a second chance at life. Winston went on to enjoy 10 long years of playing with his brothers.
We soon found others who wanted only the best for their pets as well—and that’s when NaturVet was born.
Who are we?
We’re NaturVet! One of the longest-operating and top-trusted pet supplement providers in the nation.
What do we do?
We make supplements that help pets and pet parents live their best lives together. From skin and coat to joint and digestive health to calming aids, NaturVet has everything you need to improve the quality of life of your four-legged friends, from nose-to-tail.

Finally! He stopped eating poop!
My puppy loves to eat it and thinks itâs a treat. I purchased it on January 20 and by February 6. He stopped eating his own poop. I tried several other options and none of them worked including meat tenderizer I donât know what will happen when he stops eating them? So Iâm gonna continue for a couple of months and then wean him off and see how he does. I also like the fact that the ingredients are natural.Update 2/14/24 the product is working. However, my puppy has decided everyone elseâs poop looks good. So my other two dogs are now eating the treats and it is working!

Ineffective for my Lab
I have a 1.5 year old Lab that eats poo. I’ve been giving this supplement to all 3 of my dogs and it has not deterred him AT ALL. They also won’t eat the tablets unless I hide them in canned dog food. I was very hopeful this would help break this nasty habit, but sadly for my dog, it has not helped at all. He is very determined to eat gross things. It was a reasonably affordable product for dosing my 3 dogs so not upset that I wasted a ton of money, it was affordable to try.

Didnât Work for My Dog
My 8 month old girl hasnât been deterred. Shes 45lbs, I give her 2 of these per day as directed – itâs been nearly 4 weeks and she is still loving her stool. I do my best to clean up after her in the backyard right away but those 5AM or late night potty breaks I donât always get to and she will beat me to it the next time she goes out.I feed her blue buffalo chicken for large puppy breads and she gets her kong filled with organic pumpkin puree. Time to find alternate options other than this product

CAUTION!!
Mixed results. If you have your dog on a regular eating schedule, and give the med with food, you have a better chance of success. Basically if the poo is dark, they’ll leave it alone. Otherwise it is a hot meal.If you do not have a regular eating schedule, the med may cause tummy problems if given on an empty stomach. My 1YO mini Golden Doodle (22 lbs) started throwing up bile/acid (like once a day). Decided to end the poo med, and no more episodes. On a side note, my 32 lb Doodle did not have any apparent stomach problem, but also had mixed results on effectiveness.Edit: I was contacted by NaturVet and offered a full refund. I have changed my review up from 3 to 4 for NaturVet standing behind their product.

It definitely helped our Cairn
Felt compelled to leave a review since there seemed to be such different experiences with this product. We have a Cairn Terrier who was almost 6 months old last February. Noticed he started enjoying his own plus our Schnoodleâs stoolâ¦it got progressively worse. Good size backyard that was constantly de-turded by me and my trusty shovel. Fairly regular walks and Blue buffalo and salmon skin dietâ¦.yet still he craved fresh mess ð¤¢Decided to try this product and after about 5 days we started to notice a difference. We also added a liquid B-12 vitamin supplementHe now leaves almost all piles alone. He will occasionally try to grab a morsel of some old stuff I might have missed, but I think he does it for the chase.

Pretty much just expensive cookies – that donât freshen breath much either. Try broccoli.
My dogs like these as treats, but this has no effect whatsoever on the poo-eating problem. My rescued dachshund Gillie has recently rebegun his illicit snacking habits which we assume he developed during his time living in desperate conditions on the streets. He was skin and bones when we got him, and he still has some anxiety and other behaviors learned as a stray, such as hoarding food, cramming multiple chews in his mouth and just carrying them everywhere, chugging water all at once instead of occasional refreshment, and marking eeeeverywhere. And eating poop.We thought we had broken him of the habit several years ago, but heâs started up again in the last few months. Vet checkup found no dietary reason, no nutritional deficiency, so itâs a behavioral thing, but we donât know whatâs changed to bring this back on. Previously, we were able to stop him by mixing cooked broccoli in with the dinners off all our dogs; while it tastes good going in, apparently they donât like how it tastes from the other end. That, plus good nutrition, and showing him he could rely on us to feed him every day, and give him cookies and chews and toys and blankets and love, seemed to have been what broke his habit before. Heâs still a squirrelly little guy, definitely with doggie-PTSD after goodness knows how he struggled when homeless and alone. But heâs settled a lot and definitely feels heâs part of the family. I really donât know why heâs started up again.Broccoli was effective before but I thought this time Iâd look for a more convenient alternative. Doh! This stuff doesnât work. And weâve also tried adding meat tenderizer to his food – the kind with no msg – but not only does it not stop coprophagia, itâs made him picky on the wrong end of the process! So weâre going to hope cooked broccoli works this time around, while we still investigate potential reasons for the behavior so we can possibly correct the problem for good. (Fingers crossed!) If this product failed for you and your dog, I recommend trying cooked broccoli, just about a 1 to 4 ratio with their food, wet or dry. All four family dogs have liked it, in its appropriate order, ahem. Good luck!Hey NaturVet, add more broccoli to this product and maybe itâll work. Two stars instead of one because my dogs at least like this as a treat.

My puppy (12 weeks) loves eating her poop. I’d have to chase her to stop her from eating her poop, but most of the time she’d snatch it up before I could even stop her. These treats work!!!!! my pup loves it and now she will walk away… sometimes I’ve seen her pick up her poop and throw it out of her mouth .. this stuff is amazing, a god send.they are a bit hard so I crush them into smaller pieces (my dog inhales food and doesn’t chew)
