Our Story
It all began in 1994, with our rescue white lab, Winston, who was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Several vets recommended putting him down, but this was never an option for us.
We began researching alternative medicine while working with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian.
After several months, we developed a natural joint formula that gave Winston a second chance at life. Winston went on to enjoy 10 long years of playing with his brothers.
We soon found others who wanted only the best for their pets as well—and that’s when NaturVet was born.

This Worked! Quickly Firmed-Up Loose Stools & Cheaper Than Other Brands.
My rescue dog has been having issues with very loose stools, diarrhea, and scooting for many months, and we believe the primary cause is not enough fiber in her diet, as the vet says she has no underlying health problems. She’s an INCREDIBLY picky eater (and oh boy, is that putting it lightly!) with a very sensitive stomach. Standard dog food almost always causes her to get sick (we’ve essentially tried every brand under the sun including multiple types of RX food prescribed by the vet with little luck). Currently, two of the only things she tolerates well are steak and salmon. Our vet has her on a prescription vitamin that helps rounds things out nutritionally, and we wanted to add in fiber. I did a lot of research and decided to try the NoScoot powder. I have to be honest – my expectations were not high and I was concerned it would be difficult giving it to her. She doesn’t like treats (unless they are of the stuffing-filled, cuddly, squeaky variety), so I opted for the powder and planned to sneakily sprinkle it on her food. The package arrived quickly, and I wanted to try it out right away. I prepared her meal, measured out the correct amount of powder for her weight, and put it into a separate small dish. However, before I could put it on her food, the freakin’ cat leaped on the counter and with a quick swipe, knocked the dish to the ground. The dog, excited by the commotion, ran into the kitchen…and started licking the powder off the ground. I was surprised, to say the least. This is a dog who turns her nose up at peanut butter, biscuits, jerky, and everything else 99% of dogs would devour without a second thought–but she’s eating up…powdered pumpkin and psyllium husk like it’s a delicacy?! Well, okay! Do your thing, girl. It’s now been almost a month of adding NoScoot to her breakfast and dinner, and she’s only had diarrhea ONCE since. The improvement has been unreal. When she goes to the bathroom it’s actually solid, and she isn’t straining. They look like ‘high-quality’ poops, if that’s a thing (I feel really weird even writing that, I’m just not sure how else to describe them without going into detail that very few would care to know). She *is* still scooting, but it has been significantly cut down – she has her yearly vet visit coming up so it’s likely just time for her glands to be expressed, anyway.I highly recommend trying this out. The price point is lower compared to other brands with similar ingredients, and best of all, it works well (in my experience at least – I know all dogs are different). If you’re debating between the powder supplement or the soft chews, I measured out the bottle and there are approximately 64 teaspoons in the bottle. The recommended dose of the powder is 1/2 a teaspoon per every 20 pounds, twice a day. My dog is 40 pounds, so I give her a teaspoon in the morning on her food, and a teaspoon at night (so a total of 2 teaspoons per day). The bottle should last about 32 days. The dose for the soft chews is 1 chew for every 20 pounds, 2x per day, so 4 chews a day for a 40lb dog. So, with a 40-pound pup (which is a standard medium-sized dog), the bottle of 60 chews would last for 15 days, the bottle of 120 soft chews would last for 30 days (or 30 days/60 days for a 20 pound dog).

Didnât work as well as another brand
I purchased this item because it was a bit cheaper than the one I had been giving. Iâm on a fixed income With two dogs and an occasional foster dog, so always looking to save some money wherever I can. Sadly, within 7-10 days of using this product, my dog had returned to scooting and licking his butt. The unmistakable smell anal glands emit was there too. I doubled up on the recommended dosage for these chews and it seems to have helped, but I wonât be reordering. Will return to the other product Iâve used in past.

No Scoot gland support.
Product was received quickly and packaged professionally. We have a small poddle mix and have always had trouble with scooting even with regular visits to his veterinarian. After using No Scoot gland support we have had zero trouble with scooting. He willingly takes the supplement as directed and we go on with out day. I will purchase again.

Pancake approved!
Pancake loves these little âtreats.â Weâve noticed her butt irritation/scratching has gone down as well as her anal gland scent/issues.Our vet informed us that sheâs allergic to chicken and beef (!) so having the pumpkin option was a home run.The price of these are more reasonable than others that we have purchased and they seem to work just as well. Weâll continue buying them and Pancake finds them very tasty.

Dogs loved them, stomach did not!
I bought this because one of my dogs was scooting her bum across the floor and was not regularly going to the bathroom so I thought I would try this. My other dog tends to secrete her anal glands herself, so I gave them to her as well to hopefully avoid that HORRID smell. The directions are 1 chew for every 20 lbs twice a day. My dogs are 76 and 78 pound labs I gave them 3 chews after dinner and planned on not giving any at breakfast until I saw how they tolerated it. One dog had a bad sounding stomach but since she wasn’t going normally and wasn’t showing signs of discomfort my guess is it was things starting to move but I’m not certain. However, my other dog had a VERY bad reaction to it and I’m so thankful my mom was able to take her while I worked. Within 2 hours of eating the chews, she threw up A LOT. She then went out and started eating grass and I couldn’t get her to come back in for 2 hours. In the 24 hours after she ate the chews she had 7 bowel movements (4 were diarrhea) and threw up 4 times. She was still eating and drinking normally but I still don’t know how she had enough in her system to get sick that many times and have that many bowel movements. When she gets anxious she starts getting inverted sneezes and she had them off and on for the 24 hours so not only was she sick but she was very scared of what was going on. I will not give this to either dog now; I will not risk my other girl getting that sick. Thankfully my other girl has bounced back and doing well but she was so sick. The plan was to take her to the vet the following morning but she got sick the last time at 7pm, slept, ate breakfast and THANKFULLY didn’t get sick again.

I’m not sure if these would have worked because they made my dog so constipated that I stopped giving them her.

2 of my 3 dogs have problems and I was taking one of them to the vet every 3-4 weeks to have her Anal Glands drained. Since using this product we haven’t been.I have Basset Hounds which weigh almost 30kg so this product works out very expensive. I alternate between a tub of NO SCOOT and about 4 weeks of cubes of raw pumpkin/pureed pumpkin (cooked), a very healthy alternative and also very effective.

This has really helped my pug, used to have to drain his anal glands every fortnight, now with just half a teaspoon a day we only need to drain them around every 6months.Brilliant product.
