Wonderful canisters for the price! Just make sure you only put dry, non-reactive food in them.
I noticed that other people who had issues with these seemed to be – for the most part – putting the wrong types of food in them. Many of the issues seem to come from storing acidic foods, sugary candies that are prone to melting, etc. Basically things that you probably shouldn’t be putting in airtight, temperature-sensitive containers in the first place.I highly recommend using these only to store dry goods and things that won’t melt or be affected by the humidity in your house. These are plastic, not glass. I’ve used multiple sets for two years, and they’re still going strong with very little damage, and I’ll admit that I’ve even thrown these in the dishwasher once or twice. There is a small crack in one, which was my fault since I slammed something into it.I will admit that I do use one jar to store fresh ginger, and the ginger combined with the high humidity in my area caused it to…sprout and grow out instead of rotting! Which is a little odd but helpful, since I always have access to fresh ginger now. Freaky.

This the third set of the OGGI canisters we’ve purchased We like that they are clear so you can see the contents and that the lid is attached to the canister and can’t get lost. (My wife is notorious for losing lids).I would caution that the canisters are not made of 1/8 inch thick plastic as described. The plastic is much thinner and we’ve had a number the canisters previously purchased that cracked. But still think they are a good value.We also tend to remove the silicon seals after awhile as they keep coming off.

Great set for reasonable price
I love this set of acrylic canisters. I use for a variety of things from food to coffee, to powdered detergent. They are attractive, you can see what is in them easily, and they have a secure seal. I would highly recommend.

Careful; they’re addictive.
You will want to keep everything in these canisters! Cookies, coffee, crackers, nuts, candy, detergent, protein shake powder, et cetera. They are air-tight but not leak-proof. Liquid will get out. I recommend them for DRY storage items. I only hand-wash mine. I’m a little afraid to put them in the dishwasher. If you keep them at the office, it’s fun to put stickers and decals on them so everyone knows they’re yours : )

Very pleased with these. I had been looking for this type of canister with easy to open lid. I bought one large one at a local $2 shop and wanted a smaller version for sugar looked everywhere found one but was cheaper to buy the whole set from Amazon –

I liked these containers so much I ordered a second set. Re: some negative reviews here – they may seem flimsy, however I like it because they’re so light. In the past I’d used similar containers but they were glass and so heavy. It’s true also that the seal falls out; just as easy to put it back on before sealing the lid. I wash dishes by hand, so unsure if they can stand the heat of a dishwasher or not.Anyway, these canisters work for me, exactly what I wanted, good price, does the job, fast delivery.
