Perfect Scale
There is nothing more frustrating than putting your food on a scale, and its too large to see the reading. I like to make a lot of homemade breads, so I am use to large containers being weighed out. This scale has the best feature with the pull out display. You can easily weight your ingredients and see their weight! It so far has been very accurate for me. I went with the 5 pound model because its half the cost of the 11 pound model, and I don’t usually have a need to weight more than 5 pounds at a time.

Yet another great OXO product!
I like to bake using weight rather than scoopable measuring cups. My results are consistent EVERY time regardless of humidity and other factors that can affect so many baked goods.For years, I used an old Weight Watchers scale, but when I saw this one reviewed, I decided to try it. It is very easy to use, can be switched between imperial and metric measurements. The on/off button also doubles as a “tare” button – it zeros out the weight of the container so you can only weigh the ingredients as you add them.I also like the fact that you can pull out the display so that you can read it when weighing with oversized containers. Finally, it’s small enough that I can tuck it behind anything on the countertop so it’s out of the way and invisible.I am a long-time fan of OXO products – they are well designed and easy to use and this one meets all expectations.

Nice design but lacking in precision
The ergonomics of this scale could not be better designed. The pullout display, so it doesn’t get hidden under large plates, the stability of the base, removable top platform for cleaning, simple controls….all great especially for the price!I should have realized this from subtle clues in the product description but precision is not great. The scale measures in 1/8 oz increments but the display has only one significant digit, so you can’t get to that 1/8 oz. My last scale (not by Oxo but similar to this one) had 2 significant digits, and I miss that. It’s also odd that measurements are so coarse if you’re reading ounces, yet it’s supposed to be accurate to within 1 gram (1/28th of an ounce) if you’re measuring in grams. Given the ounce/display situation, I’m not so confident about this claim…and it’s a bit of a problem depending what the error is, since I need this scale to measure things like supplements for homemade cat food where an error of 2-3 grams can be a problem. Can the seller please comment on this??

Best Food Scale Currently!
I saw this scale recommended on a YouTube shorts video and wow, they were correct! I needed a simple scale that would weigh my food quickly without the need to wait for some annoying start up process and would “TARE” easily. This scale completely fit the bill. The pull out display is huge especially when weighing larger plates/pots/foodware. But more than anything this scale is super accurate. It’s more expensive now than a few years ago but it’s definitely worth it.

Pull Out Digital Read-out
I purchased this scale for making Artisan bread that requires specific weights of various ingredients. With the pull out digital readout, I am able to put my mixing vat on the scale, put in the ingredients and still be able to see the exact weight without having to adjust the vat to see the readout. I highly recommend this scale if you need to weigh something that may cover the entire scale itself. The digital pull out allows additional room to read the weight.

Great for food measurement!Meal prep! Yes!For big plates or bowl the faceplate plate pullout.I have no issues, have two- one at work and one at home. Both work well.I have other scale, but are inconvenient with no face plate pullout.

This scale has a pull out display so that any plate/container used to weigh can still be seen. It is a compact device that can always be reset to ‘0’ for the container used to weigh. I use it constantly and it appears to be accurate. I find it to be better than my other scale.
