A good all-around unit, light, simple to install and maintain, and it does a stellar job in my 15×15-ft bedroom, I would definitely recommend it. The instruction booklet was not very well written or formatted, they do need to work on this. I was surprised when I received the unit to find it was PYLE USA, a electronics manufacturer that specializes in audio, I’ve purchased some of their equipment in the past, and it’s still running just fine. The remote control is just the way I like it, it runs the basic functions without having to have a PhD in electronics engineering, just the basic buttons but all the ones you need.Recommended…..Update: 7/31/2021I purchased a second unit, now they are the only AC units running in the house. The temperature is 102° outside, and one unit is in the living room, and one is in the back side of the house, which is about 1100 ft². The temperature is a nice 70° in the house, which I did not expect, between the two units there is 16,000 BTU, (actually 15,000 BTU) which from a standpoint of thermal units shouldn’t be enough to cool the house, but I’ll be darned if it doesn’t. Good units, get them while you can. This is an update covering the last two years of use with two of these, today I’m coming back for a third one.I’m not going to butter your bread, you’ll get an honest evaluation for me.The two units that I have in a straight performance viewpoint have been nothing short of astounding, these units just run and run and run, both units have been on 24/7 for the last 2 years, obviously you don’t need an AC unit in the winter, what we use them as air filters as well, put on fan only the unit does a good job of clearing the air in the room. I bought one for my personal bedroom, I like my own climate control, and I love to sleep in a chilled room with the blankets piled up.The only thing I could legitimately gripe about is the units are a bit noisy, but to me it’s almost like a comforting white noise sound, it’s not screeching, or making loud mechanical noises, it produces a low frequency hum which is noticeable, but not displeasing.2 years of 100% reliable use, and a cooling capacity that definitely exceeds its rating You’re not going to find anything that works as hard and performs as well for under $300My recommendation for this unit is simply this, after 2 years of owning two of these, I’m adding a third…..

Cold AC for a small room
Great unit, and mirroring what most of the other reviews said, this unit works great and cools down a 200 sq/ft room very fast and keeps it comfortable. Not so much that great in a 500-ish sq/ft area with vaulted ceilings, but you can definitely feel the difference after 20 minutes of it running. There really aren’t any negatives to say about this, but I will say a few things that I’ve noticed and wish it could be different on the AC unit. It’s nothing that would prevent me from returning it, as it does what I need it to do. The fan on the high setting is a bit loud, especially when the unit is close to you but that’s expected. Also, there’s a fair amount of heat generated from the rear by the hose area – no hot air blowing, but if you put your hands back there you can definitely feel the heat radiating from the unit and the exhaust hose. I would recommend placing this closer to a wall or in the corner of a room. The other thing is I wish this unit had adjustable power, or at least was more energy efficient and drew a lower wattage to save on electricity (and your electric bill). I use this AC unit on a Ecoflow Delta Pro with a 3.6 kWh battery, and it’ll run just shy of 3 hours on the Delta Pro, or 4.5 hours with a 400W solar panel connected at the same time. The AC unit consistently pulls 1000 watts of electricity in cooling mode, and it’s the same 1000 watts in either low or high mode, so we just leave it on high to cool the room faster. I’ve seen some 14,000 BTU window units only draw 500-600 watts or electricity, so it would’ve been nice is this unit was more energy efficient. I wish it didn’t draw as much power since we run this unit on a solar generator, as it’s much cheaper for me to charge the generator at night than it is to plug in the AC unit into the house wall outlet during the day. Still, it’s perfect on those summer afternoons when it gets hot in the house. The last thing I would mention is the included window kit. It’s nice that the AC unit comes with an exhaust host and window kit to vent out the heat, but the window kit is limited in the adjustability. There’s only a few windows in my house where this included window kit will actually fit, otherwise it’s either too short or too long. I bought the Gulrear Portable Air Conditioner Sliding Door Vent Kit ($29 on Amazon) that has 4 sections and doesn’t taper the exhaust vent, so I can either put this on our 80″ tall patio door or on a much shorter window in my son’s room. I wouldn’t say the included window kit is worthless, as it still works and does its job. The hose will easily pop off the panel if you’re moving the unit around and the hose moves a little bit, but it’ll stay in place when you need it to.Overall, this is a great unit for the price.

It doesn’t take any time at all for A/C cooling or dry mode to kick in and immediately cools down the room. It’s only the end of spring in Canada but I wanted to get one before the prices skyrocketed, so I’ve only played with the functions. Mostly I have it on the fan mode but am using the dehumidifier more often and it works very well. Our previous one was only 8,000 BTUs (This one is 10,000) and we had to make shift fans all over the apartment to circulate enough air to reach the bedroom. (It sucked.)I’m more than confident that we won’t need to do that anymore. The power behind this unit is kicka** and it doesn’t fool around. You say “Cold” and it says “No problem!”I like it. I’m happy with it. I did need to adapt the window thingie because we are using it in the patio door, but I was expecting that. For a window, I think it would be fine.It was on the lower side of the average price going right now and for all of the ones I examined on here I settled on this one because it kept coming up in the results that I was put in for the different searches describing what I was looking for, what I needed.I figured “Why not? It’s got everything needed and is reasonable for what the competition offers.”I’m not disappointed at all.

I’m using this unit in my office/room…I do not like BaseBoard heaters… It’s kind of early in the game to be giving reveiws, but so far everything is working fine…the unit takes up less floor space than my old Gree A/C…It probably runs a little quieter. It was packaged well…The box sustained a lot of damage but the product remained in tact….It is really kind of early in the game to be giving reviews, but so far all is well…if down the road I have a problem I will get back to you.(it too bad Amazon didn’t give me me some incentives to write this)they haven’t so far…All in all I’m happy with with the transaction so far, but as I said before it’s early in the game…stay tuned
