Great Value and Picture Quality
Bottom Line Up Front: Super picture quality and at this price its hard to complain about about it. Wall mounting was easy (the TV is super light; less than 8 lbs and it supports all of our streaming apps including YouTubeTV.Install was also very easy using a “Pipishell” Full motion mount ($19.99) and it fit perfectly without having to use any adapters. Other things we like:- Very clean looking edge-to-edge screen- Multiple HDMI and 1 HDMI (ARC) outlet- It also has classic Co-Ax, Headphone, and USBThings we can live with:- This is a Roku TV with a Roku Remote- The speakers are okay at this price (we used a sound bar we had on the other TV)- The power cord is hard wired, first time I’ve seen that in a really long time

Obnoxious Standy Light
This TV is very nice and the price is fantastic. I wasn’t expecting such a nice tv for this price. This TV has a really good picture and the remote is easy to operate. The only problem I had with this TV was the obnoxious standby light. It lights up the room. I didn’t discover this until the TV was already hung on the wall. But, I found out how to turn this off. I’m so glad TCL allows you to turn this off because I was really upset about this huge, obnoxious light. Turn on the TV, go to Settings…System…Power…Standby LED and switch to Off.

Amazing value for the price.
Bought this TV to use along with my Playstation 5, which i use for everything.Picture Quality is very good. Absoulutely no issue with this at all, everything is crisp, brightm and vibrant. The remote i really cant say much about, it works, has few buttons (which is a good thing) but the only minor bugaboo is the media buttons on the bottom are all apps i do not use. It would be nice if Roku gave up blank buttons here and let us attach apps to them as we please.Sound quality isnt bad, but its not amazing though, dont expect to sound like a movie theater.Overall, its the best tv for the dollar i have bought in a long time. This tv is great for a bedroom unit.

Good 40 inch TV for a low price, iffy remote control response from below the set
This TV should satisfy any person wishing for a TV that’s 40 inches diagonally at a fair and low price. The picture quality is “good” but MUCH better than I expected for the price. If you can fit a 40 inch in the space you have for a TV, the extra size over a 32 inch TV makes a very big difference. The brightness in particular is great. It has the connections most people need. The ROKU streaming interface is good–and maybe better for most people than the Google/Android TV interface. I have TVs with both systems and don’t care about any differences that exist. The worst feature of this TV is mediocre to poor remote control response. I have the set positioned in my bedroom so that the bottom edge about 10 inches above my head, ten feet away. The sensor on the TV just doesn’t do a good job of responding to the remote when the remote is positioned slightly below the set. I sometimes have to hold the remote up high to get TV to respond. Not a deal breaker but it is an annoyance. This is a fault of the TV sensor, not the remote. I have two Roku TCL TVs (same remote). The 55 inch TV responds perfectly to both remotes and the 40 inch responds poorly to both remotes when the remote is held below the set’s bottom edge.

Clear quality and easy to install
Light and easy to install. Plug in and itâs all Roku at that point. The quality is good and overall a great value for the price.

BEST TV EVER
The picture is crystal clear and vibrant. Set up is easy. It’s the perfect size for the bedroom. Thank you to another reviewer who intructed us that we can turn off the standby LED light by going to settings>system>power>standby LED. The feet were a little bit of a pain for me to get on, but not enough for me to deduct a star. The price beats all others I was considering. You can rename the HDMI ports like I did when I connected my DVD player. I have not bought a sound bar yet as recommended on the manual, but it is nice to know which port to use for it and what is compatible. I connected my digital antenna to the cable/antenna port and local stations automatically come up first in the guide on Live TV, then many streaming channels are listed, although a little different than my Samsung smart TV in the living room. The mute and volume buttons are convenient on the side of the remote, but I will use none of the 4 preset app buttons on the bottom. It would be nice if you could program these. I did notice that I cannot submit feedback via the * button like I could on my stick about apps that fail to load. Some might miss the numbers on a regular remote to quickly go to a local channel, but you can favorite â¡ channels. I see no power button on the TV itself. I did buy a riser that works well: LOTEYIKE Dual Monitor Stand for 2 Monitors, Large TV Riser.Parental controls are an option. Also, under privacy > advertising, you can personalize ads to see fewer ads about many topics that you can check off like mature content, violence, etc. You can put in your zipcode for local recommendations. There are power and sleep timer options.I did have to rearrange my Roku apps in my preferred grouping that I had installed on my previous Roku stick. For those not familiar with Roku: live TV with free streaming channels, videos apps, educational, movies, relaxing nature, music, health, self-help, and bible stuff (reading, teaching, prophecy, relaxing videos and true science). I don’t need cable with all the cool stuff on Roku. This has the same wallpapers and themes as the stick. You can even set the screensaver to a fireplace, nature, something colorful, or a beautiful, live aquarium.Complaint: Roku live channels no longer have True History. So, for those of us wanting to learn about the Black Death, the plague of the Middle Ages or other fascinating history, we must install the Xumo app on Roku and go there to find it.

Very Good Roku TV for the Price
This is my fifth TCL Roku TV. Their picture quality is not high-end but more than adequate. The audio is good enough for speech but not excellent for music. The TV does a great job of picking up my WiFi signal even on the opposite side of the house from my WiFi transmitter. The TCL TV gives you the full Roku experience. And they last for years: My first Roku TV from 2017 still works like a champion. My main TV is a Samsung connected to a Roku box. But for the price, the TCL Roku TV is perfect as a secondary TV, such as for kids, the guest room, the kitchen, and etc. Also, the built-in Roku function means you don’t need an external Roku box, which may not always be convenient to place in some home locations.
