A Stellar Entertainment Experience with the TCL 75-Inch Class S4 4K LED Smart TV!
I recently purchased the TCL 75-Inch Class S4 4K LED Smart TV (75S450F, 2023 Model), and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice. This TV is a true powerhouse of entertainment, delivering stunning visuals with its 4K resolution and Dolby Vision HDR. The Dolby Atmos audio adds another layer of immersion, making every viewing experience feel like a cinematic treat.The integration of Fire TV is a game-changer, providing easy access to all my favorite streaming services and apps. Having Alexa Built-in is incredibly convenient, allowing me to control the TV effortlessly with just my voice. The Apple Airplay compatibility is a nice touch for seamless content sharing from my Apple devices.One aspect that truly impressed me was the TV’s arrival in pristine condition. It was securely packaged, and there was no damage whatsoever. Setting it up was a breeze, and the overall user experience has been fantastic. If you’re in the market for a 75-inch smart TV with top-notch features, the TCL 75S450F is a solid choice that combines impressive technology with reliable performance.

great value for a 65 inch, great for gaming but the sound…
replaced a cheap 50 inch QVC TV that finally gave out after 4 years. Was using the alexa streaming box thingy, this tv replaced that but it does not access alexa via your voice and just saying “alexa” -you have to push a button on the remote to activate Alexa – meh, wife always had the box on mute anyways, so no worries. i hooked up the Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Bros Wonder blew my mind, looked amazing on the screen, the sound was OK, but we’ve always used a soundbar, so i hooked up the one we already had, watched our 1st 4K movie ( i think ) on Paramount+ “The Lost City”, gonna test a few more 4k movies, (and cant wait to test a bluetooth headset) – but felt like i was at a movie theater, really nice colors, and keep in mind, for the price point, this TV cant be beat.

Put this up after our newish Samsung went completely black. We have TCL all throughout the house and have been using TCL for some time now. I’ve never been unhappy with them. I’m sure there are better brands out there but these are reliable and never been disappointed with the screen quality. We have had several 32”, a 65” and a 98” TCL. Very happy with all of them. This one (65”) has Fire TV (our older ones have Roku) and I like it but it doesn’t have Spectrum app but not end of the world. Initially plugged our Roku stick into this TV but for some reason the remote wouldn’t work well. (We were using the correct one – voice activating; our 98” has the same Roku stick and it works fine). So we just use Fire TV and it’s a nice change. I was able to use the existing wall TV mount but we had to get different size bolts since the holes on the TCL TV are smaller than the holes in the Samsung.

Mostly good, except the display menu refuses to work.
This is a great TV. However, with low cost, comes the inevitable problem. And in this case the issue is with the “Display & Sounds” menu which displays an empty gray screen with a white bar, or, when the menu is selected, the screen goes dark. Restarting the TV fixes the issue, but clearly, the firmware has issues and TCL has known of these problems for a very long time and still the issue persists. I have also found in my research that this same problem is seen on other FireTV vendor sets. So it may be an Amazon thing. I don’t feel like going through the hassle of a blame game with either TCL or Amazon and the picture is “good enough” but clearly, I am one of MANY who have a non-working function on a television that should allow us to control our display and sound functions out of the box. The photo above shows the issue I see with the display & sound menu.Other than this, the set is good. I use a amplifier for the sound and thus cannot comment on the native speakers so many have dissed, but for my purposes, it is a good match for my needs. If I had it to do over again, I’d spend the extra $50 to get a higher quality unit, but even then, with these software-based TVs, it seems to be a crap shoot if you are going to get good firmware, no matter how much you spend.All in all, adequate quality. Not stupendous, but not bad for the price. If this set does not stand the test of time, I will go with another brand and definitely not with a FireTV. It is my hope that whoever is responsible for the firmware issues, steps up and issues a fix that truly repairs the problem with the display and sound menus. Two stars removed for whoever is not fixing the firmware issue. If I get help getting a patch pushed out to me to fix this, or another set that actually has a working menu, I’ll edit the review and update accordingly.
