100% Best Mouse Mover & Unbelievable Customer Service
I originally bought the model shown in the second photo with the small turntable called “Lava”. I have a Logitech Marathon Mouse M705. As you can see in the photo of its underside, the sensor is near the edge. The mouse mover turntable is too small to always catch the sensor. The mouse eventually gets in a position where the sensor is not over the turntable and the computer goes to sleep. I left a one-star review of this model and a customer service representative by the name of Amy from Tech8 contacted me immediately after my review was posted. Amy offered to make me happy and helped me obtain their newer model “3D Hologram Alien” shown in the 3rd photo.Where do I start? The 3D Hologram Alien Mouse Mover is beyond belief and such a massive upgrade from the one I ordered before. I had no idea the turntable was holographic! The build quality is first class, the performance is first class, the features are first class, and the appearance is first class. I REALLY love the lighting! The turntable is huge, and the sensor is always over it and since the turntable is so big, it physically moves the mouse around enhancing the randomness of the cursor movement. This has to be the best mouse mover on the market right now.Tech8 says the product is made in America and I support that greatly. Again, Amy with Tech8 is amazing. She is without question the finest customer service professional I have ever worked with and that is saying a lot because I’m old!Lastly, I know the use of these devices is controversial. In my case, I work like crazy and actually have two laptops for two clients. I am constantly flipping between the two and it was driving me crazy to log back in with my long password over and over all day to both laptops as the unused one would go to sleep. This essentially makes me more productive.

Excellent to keep your screen alive while working.
Wonderful product. Seems to work best with a large base mouse, with the optical pickup centered in the base, set to a lower DPI. Microsoft (MS) sculpt worked best. It had the most fluent and natural movement. stayed off edges and never got stuck to a side. Memzuoix vertical worked well. Stayed off edges pretty well but does hang out to the edge. Vassink vertical stays around edges. MS 1850 rode the edges as well. I didnât have a corded mouse available to test. For keeping your session alive, it works flawlessly. Very quiet motion. May not even be able to hear it if your office has some noise.

Does the job
Pretty good for normal mouses (or at least best with the type of mouses that have the sensor in the middle. It still does work if the sensor is on the top but it requires a bit of maneuvering). Works throughout the day. Only gripe is that there is a slight sound when it moves (like a quiet motor sound no louder than if you were hearing a fan on your computer). Otherwise, the product is nice, and both packaging and shipping were fine as well.

What do I like?It works!! Now the only time my screen times out is when I forget to put the mouse on the pad :-)»» The movement pattern varies with the particular selection. I bought the one with a “fingerprint” pattern because it looks cool. However, the cursor gets stuck in the upper left corner of the screen. It still jiggles, but it’s not very convincing.»» I made a screen capture of the “psychedelic blue” pattern, printed and cut it out, then glued it with rubber cement to the “turntable” of the device. Works great, and the cursor roams all over the screen. I don’t think it would pass a Turing test, as most of the motions are long swipes from 10-oclock to 4-oclock (upper left to lower right) about every 5 to 15 seconds. But once in a while the device mixes it up with long horizontal swipes or little jiggles.»» I don’t know how the other two patterns would fare. As I’m satisfied with “psycho-blue” I’m not going to bother to find out.»» I have it powered by an old phone charger. Manufacturer says there’s no data connector in the supplied USB cable — which should mean the device cannot be detected by the PC. But I’m a “belt-and-suspenders” person, and also I might mess up some day and plug in a cable with a data wire.»» Some reviewers have written that it’s noisy. Mine is only 2 weeks old, but so far it’s been quiet as a mouse ;-). I will update this review if that changes.»» I’m using a corded optical mouse. I’ve tested it with a wireless optical mouse and that works, too. But I doubt that an “old-school” trackball style mouse would work very well.»» This device is 100% isolated from the computer. No device driver, no software to install, nothing, nada. It’s “plug and spin”.»» Recommended? Yes. (As in, how did I survive without it before???)What don’t I like?»» The pad is big (5¼ x 3½ inches), so it’s big enough for any mouse I’ve ever had. But my current mouse is much smaller, and I’d like a “Junior” size version so that it takes up less of my precious desk space.»» It’s also fairly tall at 1½ inches»» It needs to sit on a level surface. Otherwise the cursor will end up getting stuck somewhere on the screen. Not sure whether that will lead to failure of the jiggle algorithm or not.

Works great! Work-life changing!
I know employers put sleep modes on computers for security reasons however sometimes their security gets in the way of productivity, which is the case in my instance. I work where computers go to sleep and lock after 30 seconds of inactivity, which means even while actively working if I have to do something at my desk that does not involve the computer it will lock and go to sleep, which is infuriating! Especially when the pause has to do with what I am doing on the computer in the first place! I am so grateful I found this product which has instantly helped alleviate the aggravation and increased my productivity! I wish I had thought of buying something like this sooner!10/10 stars! I highly recommend this product and the fact its plug and go is a big plus! If you work in an environment where computer locks are a thing and impact you, get this! It will change your life!Simply when idle place the mouse on the pedestal and set it and go!

Honestly, best purchase Iâve made on Amazon! My work laptop will shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity which is crazy, so I can now take 15 minutes breaks without stressing out!
