Very good phone for the price.
I’ve bought and used two of these and am about to order a third.I use the TracFone Blu View 2 everyday, to browse the web, text message, play music on Spotify watch, Youtube, talk over Skpe, take pictures and video, use all sorts of apps, etcetera .I use it more as a tablet, as I don’t have cell phone service, but it works fine talking over Skype. It does all the basic stuff I need a phone to do. The camera isn’t the best, the speaker isn’t the loudest, but it’s decent enough for most things. I deleted all the bloated software and have no issues with speed, it always seems to be responsive and quick. This will be more third order, because I keep dropping and breaking them. That’s my fault, and my negligence, but I’ve done the same thing to more expensive phones, and they seem to hold up quite a bit better. After I dropped the first phone, the speaker quit working. I’ve dropped the second phone several times and the screen is cracked. You might want to order a protective hardcase if you buy this phone.

Helpful hint
It doesn’t come with good instructions. But go to the Tracfone website and click on Shop Now (for phones), then click on Blu for filtering on the next screen, then click on Blu View 2. Now you have the right page. Then click on Tutorials. It also has a place to click for a manual, which I didn’t do, because my eyes always glaze over. The tutorials are smooth and easy to follow. The phone itself is good, but it powers up slowly. Even after I uninstalled some apps (tutorials), it still is slow to start. All in all, for a smartphone in this price range, it’s a good buy.

Makes a great MP3 player
I upgraded the stereo in my car to one with Bluetooth, and needed a new MP3 player with Bluetooth capability because I hate the iPhone interface. The MP3 players available cost about the same as this phone, and with the phone, I was able to add Waze, and Google Maps. I put my music on a 128gb Samsung mSD card. It works perfectly for my purposes.Playing my MP3s on my stereo, the battery drops about 7% per hour. If I use it as a GPS as well, it drops around 11% per hour. I’m good with that.So far, the only downside is the lack of a fingerprint reader to unlock it when I’m going down the road. It’s inconvenient to type in a passcode while driving. Is it a good phone? I have no idea. It’ll never have a SIM card in it as long as I own it.

Laggy, often unresponsive, but works!
I used this phone ($30) and a Samsung Galaxy A20 ($99) to compare the quality of experience between the two prepaid phones so I could leave a good review after several months of usage. The Blu is a laggy phone made out of cheap materials and it has relatively no usability outside of basic core functions. You can install apps but the glitches, freezes, and CPU overloads makes even the lightest weight apps frustrating to use.The Galaxy A20 was a significantly better experience and worth the additional $80 if youâre looking to extend this phones life beyond 1-2 years of usage. The phones responsiveness was great, components were much higher quality, the screen is larger, battery is better, and it can handle both basic social media apps and games with relative ease.If youâre on a strict budget, the blu will work as a truly basic phone. If you have some wiggle room, go for the Galaxy A20 and save yourself the troubles.

You get what you pay for.
As a retiree on a very limited income I chose this phone as it was inexpensive. It was very easy to set up. That’s its good point. The phone keeps stopping abruptly for no reason, sometimes refuses to respond to pressing Restart, and won’t respond to exiting a screen. If you need a phone just for texting and making calls, this phone is satisfactory.UPDATE 12/6/22: This phone is a piece of garbage. I am unable to answer some incoming calls as the Phone App quits working, the image on the screen scrambles, the phone refuses to reboot or power off more often than not, and operating this phone is an exercise in frustration. Had I a higher income I never would have purchased this phone.

works!
I don’t use this as a phone. i needed an mp3 player and this was half the price of the mp3 player. now i use it along with my tablet as my hdhomerun tv display device. i use it on the lan for internet access.. for online movies and google / youtube stuff. i use it in airplane mode with lan on. so i dont have the cell transmitters cooking me 24/7. I wonder if they sold this cheap.. cus they thought i’d be paying the outrageous phone charges. All that said.. i love this device. its a mini tablet .. background tv. and since it is not a samsung tablet.. i have not had the battery swell up and need to be replaced 3x (samsung galaxy tab s2 has this ongoing problem which is why i dont own a samsung galaxy tab s3,4,5,6,7) and its why i bought this phone.. to replace my samsung tab s2. I dont use this at all as camera or phone.. so i cant rate that. I love this quality feel device.
