    Dark brown disgusting smelling fluid
I have a sick cat and ordered this product before. It is a almost clear liquid with very little odor to it. What I received today was a ‘sealed’ bottle (the cap was lose) with a brown disgusting smelling fluid in it that can only be considered rotten. And this item cannot be returned, under no circumstance. $20 down the drain, literally. I gave it another try and ordered a new bottle. Will see how that turns out.

I cant say enough good things about this
When my dog is sick….. Feeling like hes getting sick etc. the last thing he wants to do is eat or drink. Not even water. This liquid is like from heaven for me and my pup. It gives him energy to get through whatever ailment may be the issue at that time (he has serious stomach sensitivity issues). If it wasnt for this, he would be lethargic. This gives him life. Its the only way i can describe it. The electrolytes do their job here. I give him a huge dropper full every half hour or hour for a few hours. This helps him pee also as I said, he wont drink water and even regurgitates water. Since this has a small shelf life once opened , I believe it states 30 days after opening, I do something different. Bought some ice trays with lids. Poured them into said ice trays. Lid on. Froze them. Put them in ziplock bags. When he gets sick, I thaw a cube out in the microwave for ten seconds or less. Not long because it gets hot.if i dont need it right away but feel like its gonna be one of those days, I allow it naturally thaw as I don’t prefer to heat the liquid at all. Depends on my needs. I will always buy this product and recommend it for any pet owner to have on hand at all times. Thank you for a wonderful wonderful wonderful purchase.

Directions are extremely vague, but product did help some
I think it’s a quality product but they advise giving the same dosage to dogs and cats and this is something you give orally, NOT mixed with water either. I called the number on the bottle for clarification to dosage for cats because you can’t give cats that much liquid orally at one time, not to mention 3 to 4 times a day. The lady answered right away which was awesome, but told me it’s a concentrate youmix with water. I told her, NOWHERE on the directions does it say to mix with water, and even if it did, you that would mean giving even more fluid at one time to the cat. ( It says it’s safe for puppies and kittens and even these directions on the bottle would REALLY be innapropriate for small kittens and puppies) she said, yes it does, I said, NO, it doesn’t. I told her “VET CLASSICS, PET-LYTE,” again and she said “oh I was giving you the directions for….” A different brand. She still didn’t understand or have the answer to proper dosage. I mean can you imagine giving a cat or kitten 3 to 4 oz of electrolytes or water 3 to four times a day. That’s a half a cup up the Pet-a lyte in a cat or kittens stomach, a HALF A CUP 3 or 4 times a day!!!!! That’s outrageous you would drown them, but I would also think the idea would be the electrolytes and then as they get energized they feel like drinking water and eating normally, giving small amounts of the electrolytes as needed by their response to them.Anyway, I did the math in my head based on my personal knowledge of cats and dogs and electrolytes, and the nutritional content per one cup as listed on the label, and used common sense as well as this king- as long as she gets some it’s better than none. FOR A FULL GROWN CAT I had a 3 ml dropper gave her 2 or 3 droppers, then after 45 mins a dropper of water. Sometimes would give 2 droppers plus 1 dropper of water. As needed. She perked up and was more stable walking with a better appetite. ASK YOUR VET FIRST IF YOUVE NEVER DEALT WITH THIS KIND OF THING BEFORE. If you can’t and they’re getting dehydrated I’d go by the same thing I did, common sense, if they don’t want to drink it at first and using a dropper for cat or dog small amounts alternated with small amounts of water. Sometimes whether it’s a dropper of water orelectrolytes, ones you give them the first dropper/sips with the dropper then you can pull the bowl in front of them and they’ll do it on their own. I’m not a doctor, that’s just my experience.

    Game changer for elderly dog
My vet told me my 14 year old dog wouldn’t make it for a few weeks…..she was sick and didn’t eat…. I ordered this and I give my dog this mixed with plant based protein shake for breakfast and it has been a game changer. . It is 3 months since vet visit and you wouldn’t know anything had been wrong…. I would highly recommend.

    Fantastic!
I have used this to help give to my Bengal cat when mixing up a mixture of “Kitty Glop” for extra calories instead of water to dilute the knox geletatin I used this as well as when my doberman who had a sensitive stomach and gets the runs I add to his diet to help replace lost electrolytes to help his gut as well as give him some plain full fat yogurt with probiotics to help his gut .
