This medicine is a MIRACLE for my lab!
We started having skin issues with my lab two years ago, when she was only 8 months old. She would scratch so much she was bleeding, and we’ve had to bring her into the vet countless times for antibiotic and topicals. We’ve tried medicated baths (which help, but not entirely!), prednisone (which made her gain over 20 lbs in a very short amount of time!), topical creams and sprays, wipes that were medicated, and even allergy shots once we got to the point of figuring out she was allergic to dust, dust mites, mold, certain types of trees etc. NONE OF THAT WORKED! Not even the allergy shots. We’ve spent THOUSANDS in medical bills for her. Willingly, because we wanted to figure out something that worked so that she could finally have some relief. It just never came. So, I wish I had thought of this sooner, but I decided to start looking into something we could try on our own… without expensive vet visits, because clearly that was not working! Today marks one week of everything I implemented and she is doing so great I can’t even believe it! Her skin finally isn’t red, and raw anymore- and hardly anymore itching!! So here’s what I’ve been doing. I purchased organic coconut oil capsules and started giving her one a day which helps with the skin coat. I started giving her these vets best supplements everyday (she gets two capsules twice per day, per the weight chart on the back of the bottle). and I also started using Sulfodene First Aid Skin Medication for Dogs and Sulfodene Brand 3-Way Ointment for Dogs. Okay, so the Sulfodene products applied twice per day cleared up her “owwies” within 4 days and that’s saying something because not even the Rx medications did!! And they are inexpensive, so give them a shot!! And these vets best supplements are helping with the itching and preventing NEW spots from occurring. She isn’t even itching at all! And she used to keep us up at night with the constant licking at her paws and scratching! Her hair is even starting to grow back! Amazing, amazing product. So glad I decided to give it a shot! I had figured at this point, what’s another bottle of medicine wasted (if it didn’t work!), but based on the reviews I gave it a shot. SO GLAD I DID!!! I will put up pictures of the back of the bottle that lists ingredients in each capsule. GOOGLE THEM! I did… and these ingredients really do work! Okay, now I’m rambling, but just had to write a review… my lab is finally herself again after two years!! 😀 Also, I should mention that I have no problem giving these to my lab. She eats them right up. And that surprised me, I used to have to give her antibiotics in peanut butter or she wouldn’t take them! 🙂

    It really works!
Our Maltese rescue dog has been plagued with environmental allergies. He has gotten infections from the itching a couple of times over the past year. We gave him Zyrtec, and when that didn’t work, our vet gave him a Cytopoint shot. That didn’t work either. This year, our vet suggested we try Apoquel. We got a month’s supply to try, and those pills worked great. The trouble is that Apoquel is so very expensive! I decided to try something else before getting more Apoquel pills from the vet. I chose to try these. I have to give him a half a pill twice a day (and he doesn’t take pills willingly) rather than once a day with Apoquel. It’s worth the effort! After a month of using these Vet’s Best allergy pills, our dog is still free from itching and breaking out with “hot spots” and sores from his allergies. I never thought a product costing $15 or so would work as well as $100 worth of Apoquel, but they do!! Both the dog and I are greatly relieved and grateful to have found this product!

    Dissatisfied with the product
I need take a picture of it, but I am annoyed with it seem like the ingredients have changed. My dog is six years old now, and it was never like this his allergies his coat look like I don’t know who is being evil to the dog his eyes is puffy. His nose is puffy Definitely I am not liking none of it. I have to move on to another brand. This is ridiculous. This is not right.

Just didn’t work for his allergies.
I have purchased so many over the counter stuff for my labs allergies, but I have found nothing better than Cytapoint. My dog liked taking these, so the taste must be good. They just didn’t help him from lessening his scratching.

    Godsend for Canine Atopic Dermatitis
Amazing product for our dog with canine atopic dermatitis (CAD). Our almost 4 year old dog developed CAD this year and it has been awful. She had non-healing sores/scabs on her face, back, legs for over a month, starting wih pollen season. She would scratch at her skin until the top epithelial layer was completely denuded. Her naturally light pink skin was hot pink, angry, and warm. She could not sleep (and neither would I) as she scratched vigorously all night. Poor thing was so miserable and I wanted to cry for her. Benadryl twice daily provided some relief (claritin did nothing), but she still had inflamed skin and would have some scratching at night. The sores did not heal and skin was still very red. We changed her to a fish based, minimal ingredient diet. No change. I did not want to go down the road of extensive allergy testing, chronic steroids, or immunosuppression that many other owners have traveled. I finally came upon a veterinary segment of the Dr. Mercola (holistic medicine) website that discussed CAD. Quercetin was pronounced “Nature’s Benadryl”. Coudn’t hurt. I found this formulation for dogs on Amazon and like a another reviewer, purchased the Seasonal Allergy Support along with the Shed & Itch. Holy cow. The first night I gave it to her, she slept like a log with no scratching. It has been almost 3 weeks now (still with benadryl), but her sores are healing, the skin is now a normal color, and her fur is growing back over the previous areas of inflammation. I will start cutting back on the benadryl to once daily at night, and if no more issues, will stop that completely and only give her these Vet’s Best products. With 1 out of 6 dogs suffering from CAD, this is certainly an EFFECTIVE alternative to traditional pharmaceuticals. ****Please make sure that your dog truly has allergies and not another skin condition before treating as CAD. They must always be free of fleas first and many urban areas have fleas that are resistant to certain topicals. Our dogs are on comfortis which works well in Houston.UPDATE: It has been over 4 months since starting this. If we lapse in the dosing even for a couple days, a slight rash will start up on her belly. Will continue with this indefinitely and make sure to have 2 bottles on hand as we do not want to run out.

These pills worked very quickly and my dog stopped scratching herself within 3 days of taking the pills. I give her 1/2 pill in the morning and 1/2 in the late afternoon. She loves the taste.

Hi ALL pet parents who have any breed of dog with any allergies.I had to write this review because its the first time that something has helped.I have tried everything that is available for my beloved staffy and this is showing lots of signs of relief….YAY!I have to say…every breed and dog is different and try them all till you find something that works. When you see your beloved pet suffer (year after year, hideous season after season), you jump out of your skin and think….WHY? Why isnt there something for mine that can help?Ok so I gave this a go.Keep in mind that, Spring/Summer are the HELL months and Autumn/Winter is PARADISE!And, like clockwork, the day Spring starts, so does the redness and scratching :(I started one tablet each meal at the end of Autumn and at the end of Winter, I increased it to 1.5 tabs per meal. That way, his system had gotten use to it and we were into full swing come Spring. The other plus, is that he had no reactions (what so ever) to the tablets or the dose. YAY!Ok, so we are into our last month of Spring(November) and I am happy to say that even though there are some signs of scratching….there is no redness or very little….tiny amount. In comparison to the horrible amount that was prior to these tablets.Give them a go and work out the correct dosage for your pet.Highly recommend!I just want to add:He is on a strict organic raw diet. Never dry! No human food or crumbs…what so ever! All food, treats, bones/supplements are organic. No poisons or chemicals go in him or on him at all! Eg. vaccines, flea treatments, medicated shampoos etc.He is almost 10yo, people ask… Why does he look/act like a puppy/so young?Food is medicine!…Thanks to “Augustine Approved” and “Organic Paws” 😉
