Recently i was given a recipe for Cyprus Dessert i really wanted to make. Unfortunately most of the ingredients were in grams. While i could make a good guess on how much that would be for the large amounts, I absolutely could not weigh 20 grams of baking powder without a kitchen scale. Weâve been needing one for quite some time now, and so it was about time to finally make the purchase. I really liked the tempered glass top with touch buttons and modern look of the LED display. All glass top âwaterproofingâ and protecting the buttons underneath, for easy cleaning and preventing damage from accidental spills (cooking can be messy and âOopsesâ happen sometimes). Bottom side of the unit is not waterproof. Seeing the numbers appearing on the surface without any visible screen box, while background remain the same color as the rest of the top, is very appealing. Other scales with LCD display and a very visible screen box pretty much look like gadgets from the 90âs (no offense intended). Having an actual On/Off button was important to me. Design is very slim and lightweight adding zero bulk to my kitchen and like other reviewers mentioned it can be conveniently stored in a kitchen drawer. Scale is accurate, as much as it can be considering it can only display exact increments of 1g. Anything slightly bellow or above may result in fluctuations, which is why i always wait a few seconds after it displays a stable reading just to be sure. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that this accuracy is present everywhere (even corners and right on top of the LED numbers), probably thanks to the built in quad precision sensors. It is easy to use and read. Turning it on/off, changing measuring units and tare is straightforward and fast. Results display instantly and change gradually as you pour more flour or any other ingredient into the measuring bowl. Auto off timer is exactly 2 min. of inactivity which is plenty of time for most of my measuring needs. It can not weigh liquids (l, ml and fl. oz), but honestly I donât even need that since i use cups for the purpose. To provide accurate reading, it is important to place the unit on a hard flat and leveled surface. I made the mistake of not doing that the very first time i used it and the results were way off. Sensitivity is extremely high. So much that blowing on top or making a movement strong enough to create an air current, will affect the reading and cause fluctuations, which also happened in my tests. 22 lb capacity is more than enough for cooking and mailing letters or boxes. I chose this product over the ones with USB recharging for two reasons: First: USB charging port is an open port, which means dust and humidity or any other unwanted particles (like flour) may and will find their way in eventually. Dirty ports will not work properly over time or stop making contact all together. Second: In the event of that port being damaged, i would be left with no alternative way of using the scale. Plus it is not always easy to find a usb outlet when not at home. Some scales offer both batteries and USB charging, but reason number one is why i stayed away from them. And i know charging via cable is considered eco friendly, because of the fewer batteries being thrown away, but so can be the use of rechargeable batteries.I have compared 3 different brands LED kitchen scales and here is mainly why i chose Vitafit over the other two: 1. 5 year Warranty vs. 1 and 3 years respectively. 2. Minimum displayed weight of 2g. The other two scales couldnât go bellow 5g. 3. Device can be kept on by pressing the surface from time to time to register activity and reset the 2 min. auto off timer. One of the other two scales would turn off after 1 min. no matter what, which was a no go with me right away. 4. Precision from side to side and one corner to another. One of the other two brands could not do that. 5. Despite the fact i loved the look of black tempered glass more, white surface has less mirror-like reflective look and do not show fingerprints and white streaks as much. More specifically, seeing my own reflection or the reflection of anything else in the room was very distracting. 6. Competitive low price combined with everything I mentioned above made my choice clear. CONS:This one is more of a suggestion. Scale doesnât have a âholdâ feature which comes handy when using large vessels to measure in and they cover most of the scale (making it difficult to see the results), or measuring a large box you need to mail and canât even reach the buttons underneath. In the second scenario using tare function, in order to read the negative numbers after package is removed, wonât work since the buttons are covered. Itâs not really a big deal, but adding a âholdâ button or moving all the touch buttons on the side of the device could help with that. I am happy with my new kitchen scale. It is perfect for my needs. Oh, and by the way, that Cyprus Dessert is so rich and juicy ð…

It’s simple to use, just place items on the scale!:) I’m adding to this review to answer the question of how long it lasts. So far I’ve had it for 3 months and it still works great. Also, it weighs everything perfectly for me….I love that it calculates in so many different measurements…no more guessing how many pieces is a serving!:) I saw people saying it didn’t work for them….I was skeptical ð§ but purchased anyway and I’m so happy I bought this scale.ð Also, it looks nice on the counter….sleek and small.

Ok Scale. Compared to Ozeri…
 The scale is accurate enough. It would be more useful for me if it had more than one decimal place. I couldn’t get used to the integrated top. Any time I touched the surface, whether to press the button or just accidentally, it affected the weight. I couldn’t capture in my video but the screen glitched a few times. It’s very thin and light weight. It was the same size as my older Ozeri, but the Ozeri is more robust in build.This is a very cost effective scale. But Ozeri has models in this price range as well.

Just what I needed
I am a person that hates guessing, so I just wanted a little scale to show me how much hamburger I was using. This helps me save money by only putting the amount that I need for dinner. Everything is very simple to understand when using it. Has different measuring units. Just be sure to zero out anything that you are using to help you weigh, as in a measuring cup that will hold your stuff while you weigh it. Great little kitchen gadget and easy to clean.

I use this to bake, since you need accurate weights for a lot of things. I primarily use this for measuring bread ingredients, but it could be used for anything. Itâs very thin and small so it does not take up much space. Itâs really easy to use and measures accurately. I love this scale

Okay scale when it works right. Occasionally when you hit tare it 0 out like it should but then it doesn’t always start measuring when you start adding weight.

Die Vitafit Küchenwaage hat den Charme, dass sie bis 15kg Gewicht abwiegen kann. Dies braucht man zugegebenermaÃen nicht täglich in der Küche, es gibt aber durchaus Gelegenheiten, wo eine solche Waage Vorteile hat. So kann man damit z.B. gröÃere Mengen an Obst aus dem eigenen Garten für das Einkochen abwiegen. Ich nutze bisher auch unsere Küchenwaage, um damit für den Urlaub Dinge abzuwiegen, die im Wohnwagen verstaut werden müssen. Mit einer Waage, die nur max. 5kg abwiegt, kommt man da öfter an die Grenze. Mit der Vitafit-Waage hat man deutlich mehr Spielraum.Die Waage ist ca. 19,8×16,8×1,5cm groà und wird in einer genau passenden Verpackung geliefert. In der Verpackung ist sie dann noch einmal in Schaumstoff verpackt, so dass selbst die Lieferung in einem dünnen Umschlag aus Kartonage kein Problem war.Die 3 notwendigen AAA-Batterien sind schon in die Waage eingelegt, man muss nur noch am Batteriefach einen kleinen Zettel herausziehen, der verhinderte, dass die Waage durch die Batterien mit Strom versorgt wurde, und schon kann man loswiegen. Hierzu reicht ein Druck auf die rechte Taste mit der Aufschrift “Tare” und schon ist die Waage einsatzbereit. Mit der zweiten Taste mit der Aufschrift “Unit” kann man zwischen verschiedenen MaÃeinheiten wählen, hier stehen g, kg, oz und lb oz zur Verfügung.Zwischen den beiden Tasten ist ein 5x2cm groÃes, deutlich lesbares LED-Feld, auf dem man nicht nur die durch das Wiegen ermittelte Zahl inkl. der Einheit ablesen kann, die Waage zeigt auch durch einen kleinen Kreis an, dass sie gerade steht bzw. durch einen kleinen Strich unterhalb des Kreises, wenn der Untergrund uneben ist.Die Waage ist komplett aus Kunststoff, auf der Unterseite befinden sich 4 FüÃe, die zusätzlich noch eine Gummierung haben. Somit steht die Waage relativ sicher. Von der Verarbeitung her macht alles einen qualitativ guten Eindruck, das Gehäuse ist komplett geschlossen und der Kunststoff sieht sehr stabil aus.Der Vergleich mit einer unserer anderen Haushaltswaagen ergab beim Probewiegen von 2kg Zucker eine minimale Abweichung, die unter 1% lag. Dies liegt sicherlich im Toleranzbereich, wobei natürlich unklar ist, welche der Waagen nun näher am korrekten Wert liegt. Für den täglichen Gebrauch im Privatbereich spielt diese minimale Abweichung aber i.d.R. keine Rolle.Für 14,99⬠bekommt man eine Waage, die qualitativ einen guten Eindruck macht und die einen gröÃeren Wiegebereich hat als viele andere Waagen in dieser Preisklasse. Der Preis ist m.E. angemessen.Mir gefällt die Waage gut und da ich keinerlei Nachteile entdecken konnte, empfehle ich sie auch gerne weiter.

Gerade während der Pandemie haben wir damit begonnen, Freunden und Verwandten immer wieder mal ein Paket zu schicken. Manchmal war das Gewicht aber so, dass wir nicht abschätzen konnten, ob es noch unter 5 kg lag oder bereits darüber. Unsere Personenwaage weigerte sich, überhaupt durch irgendeine Anzeige darauf einzugehen und unsere kleine Küchenwaage ist zu schwach.Als ich jetzt diese Küchenwaage gesehen habe, die bis zu 15 kg Wiegekraft besitzt, habe ich sie gleich bestellt.Wie bei unserer anderen Küchenwaage, so wird auch hier in 1 g Schritten gemessen, wodurch sich so ein Gerät zusätzlich als Briefwaage eignet. Das Mindestgewicht beträgt 3 g, wodurch sich die Waage für alle Aufgaben in der Küche eignet. Weil meine Frau sehr gerne backt, ist die Waage regelmäÃig im Einsatz. Selbstverständlich kann man die Einheiten einstellen und der Netzschalter dient gleichzeitig als Tara-Taste. Alle Messergebnisse sind klar und deutlich auf dem Display zu erkennen.Die 3 benötigten Batterien des Formats AAA sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten, aber die gebräuchlichsten Batterien habe ich stets im Vorrat. Zur Stromersparnis verfügt die Waage über eine automatische Abschaltfunktion, die das Gerät nach 120 Sekunden Inaktivität ausschaltet.Die Waage hat das Format 20 à 17 à 1,85 cm. Sie wiegt 315 g. Die Verarbeitung macht einen guten Eindruck. Alles ist stabil und robust und im Vergleich mit unserer bisherigen Küchenwaage mussten wir keine Abweichungen feststellen.Der Preis für das Gerät der Marke Vitafit beträgt aktuell bei Amazon 14,99 â¬. Diesen Preis halten wir durchaus für angemessen und geben 5 Sterne. 🙂
