Nice soup pot for large batches of soup
There is a great recipe for Turkey Gumbo we use after baking a turkey for Christmas, Thanksgiving or any other time. The last one required a pot larger than any we had in the house. Americas Test Kitchen recommends this stock pot, so I thought I’d try it. It works really well. I like a tri-layer pot to provide even heat to what I’m cooking, but this single layer steel pot is thick yet not heavy, so it distributes the heat nicely and the rubberized handles stayed cool enough to handle. It cleaned up nicely and there were no burnt areas on the lower sides of the interior that often happens to pans that don’t have 3 layers.I would recommend this pan without reservation.

Great Value, Decent Performance
This is a great stock pot for the price. Heat distribution is not as even as cladded pots, however it’s quite good overall and will be sufficient for most cases. Not to mention the weight is low enough to not be a burden. Will see how well this stands up to the test of time, but no concerns so far after a few meals made.

Iâm very happy with this pot. I make large amounts of spaghetti sauce and freeze it in smaller amounts. This pot held everything and I didnât have to use 2-3 potsI also used it for large pots of pasta figioli soup and bean with ham soup. Perfect size

Lives up to the hype
Definitely worth every penny. We have a lot of fruit trees around so use big pots to cook down apples for applesauce or to blanch peaches to make them easier to peel. We also tend to make large amounts of soup stock at one time and then freeze it in small amounts for easier use later. Pot heats very quickly and evenly on our current gas range. Happily, this will also work on an induction cooktop, a switch we will be making in the near future. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I made cabbage soup and it filled the pot to about an inch from the top. This is a 18-10 steel pot with aluminum inside, so you cannot immediately put on high and wait for a boil (it would likely burn at the bottom and be cold at the top). I slowly increased the temperature over a few hours, not passing medium heat. It had a perfect rolling boil at medium temp – it just took me a few hours to have the pot achieve it. Very happy with it as this pot performs very well if you allow it time for the heat to reach the top. Thank you!
