    Great pot!
I’m wary of Chinese steel because you never know what you’re getting but Cooks Standard is solid. I have their 5qt braising skillet and this 12qt pot. They’re excellent values. Might come out of the dishwasher with a rainbow film of baked-on detergent but it scrubs right out. No pitting, no staining, no corrosion so far…and believe me, I’ve wasted a ton of money on bargain pots that corroded after a single use. I’ve made many risottos in the braiser and a few fully-loaded 8-hour simmers for Genovese sauce in the pot and they both still look new.I’m also a lazy cook. I rinse, dishwasher, then a little Barkeeper’s Friend and magic eraser if necessary. Zero fuss. These are only clad on the bottom, but the cladding is THICK, heats evenly, and holds heat like tri-ply…but only in the bottom!

Wish I got it years ago
We make a lot of soup, chili and tomato based sauces. I kept ruining those expensive Teflon lined aluminum pots. The Teflon would start flaking off. I hate the idea of that stuff in our food. Turns out the acid attacks the Teflon. Who knew. This stainless pot is so durable, I can use metal utensils, it heats more evenly, and still looks beautiful after quite a lot of use. No discoloration in it after frying chicken, onions, bacon, beef, or tomatoes. A real work horse, and almost no maintenance. Steel wool gets the burned bits off. We just throw it in the dishwasher and use it again. The 8 quart one is actually a bit smaller and fits well in the fridge. I bought the 12 quart one because it is the largest one I could buy that still fits in our modest cupboards and fridge. We use the 12 quart one the most. I think it will last decades.

    Very well built
This is a very nice stock pot. I wanted something small enough to do sauces and stuff, but also large enough to cook a package of spaghetti. This pot is the Goldilocks of stock pots, not too big and not too small. It’s also really shiny on the outside and the lid fits perfectly. It has a real sturdy bottom, and the handles on the side are comfortable. I wish all of my pots and pans whereas perfectly suited for their job as this one is

    Beautiful and very well constructed!
We’ve gone all stainless steel in our kitchen for cookware and appliances. It’s healthier than anything else, plus we have an entire set of Revereware from my wedding in 1974, and it’s held out beautifully. I desperately needed a good stockpot for boiling milk, steaming Mason jars, etc. and the reviews were pretty impressive on this item. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous it is! Mirrored so nicely I could put my makeup on using it. Really attractive. And very solid. The handles, lid, the clad bottom are all spot on perfect. And when I boiled milk for homemade yogurt, it was absolutely amazing. I use a glass stovetop (not willingly, but it came with the house), and almost nothing cooks evenly on it. But this did a fabulous job of a perfect boil without the center being too hot or the exterior only heating up. It was completely uniform on heat distribution. And it was also perfectly flat…imagine that! This is a wonderful piece to add to my stainless cookware, and it’s so pretty that I leave it out on my stove. That says a lot when I normally never leave anything on my stove or counters, let alone cookware. This is worth every penny spent and then some. I will likely buy more cookware from this company in the future!

    Great for making soup
I have a set of Cuisinart pots and pans that I love, but needed a bigger pot for making soup. This pot fits my needs. Same great thick base and Cuisinart quality. Dishwasher safe

    It’s a beauty!
I love this pot. It’s beautiful to look at. It’s solid, very well built. It’s easy to clean. It’s missing a star because it doesn’t hold 8 quarts. It holds about 7 1/2 quarts. But I still love it.

    Beautiful!
Sturdy, excellent quality. We’ve been using an old Paula Dean enameled stockpot that was chipped and rusting in spots and finally ordered a replacement. So glad we did. This is a nice heavy pan and it looks great too.

    Sturdy Stockpot
I have used super high quality and very thin stainless steel stockpots. This is a sturdy stockpot made of a heavier weight stainless steel. It performs well. Perfect for cooking pasta and making vegetable and meat stocks. Recommend.

Needed a new stock pot for an induction stove and hoped this would work. It does, and very well indeed. Already used for chili and performs well on induction stovetop. It is about 9 ” high and 10 1/2″ inch diameter, so a good size for recipes larger than a dutch oven. Has a heavy base, and actual riveted handles, nicely shaped in a curve and easy to use, so these handles will last a long time. The lid fits well also, although I seldom use a lid for cooking. Large enough to take some jars for pickling or jam, which I also do. Overall, a good buy, and well made. Value for money!
