It’s Functional and the Right Size for 2 to 4 serving
We already have an 8-qt Tramontina Lock & Drain Pasta Cooker. We’ve been very happy with it for many years. It is extremely functional and well-built, but we need to have one for 2 or 3 servings.So, we recently purchased a 6-qt Cuisinart for easy access and quick cleaning. We are not disappointed with the simplistic design and functionality aspects of it, but what I am disappointed with are:. Too light. I don’t feel much heftiness at all when I move it around. With $39, I was expecting more substance.. The locking mechanism works, but it doesn’t look sturdy and well-designed, meaning if you happen to bump the locking areas, it could damage both sides of the locking mechanism.I definitely wasn’t expecting All-clad quality with my purchase, but was expecting more. I actually don’t mind paying a little more for better quality.NOTE: After many months of use, I’ve decided to upgrade my rating to five stars due to its easy cleaning and simple functionality.

Great Pan
I discovered this pan while shopping on Amazon for pans to gift my newlywed Granddaughter. I needed one this size & function for myself so I ordered it to try it out first. It came today & when I opened the box it was wow, instant love! The pan is just beautiful, nice heavy feel & 6 qt size, very functional with a lid that fits tight for draining. I tried it out & loved it. Cuisinart certainly did not disappoint with this pan. I have a set of All Clad stainless steel pans with several great quality Cuisinart stainless steel pots to supplement my collection. I then ordered this same pan for my Granddaughter who will also be thrilled to get this pot to supplement her same AC pan collection. I highly recommend this pan. Thank you Cuisinart for a great product. Thank you Amazon for the prompt delivery & great shopping experience!

Nice quality pot
I needed a new pasta pot with a locking strainer lid. I’d wore my anodized pot to the point the bare aluminum was coming through. This pot is narrower and tall than the previous. The nice thing is the pasta no longer boils over. With my aluminum pot, I would have to constantly watch the starch didn’t cause it to boil over. With the new stainless steel – there’s no issue at all. I don’t know if it is the material or the shape. But, it’s a nice surprise. Lid is held securely and is easy to get on/off. Great value for the money.

Twist ‘n Lock Self-Straining Cover.
Perfect Pasta Pot! No need to dirty a colander. Also good for boiling potatoes to make mashed potatoes, and for other vegetables too. 6 quart is an ideal size. Stainless steel goes right into the dishwasher.

It is very nice and easy to use.
I had a different strainer pot for pasta that did not work any where as well as this Cuisinart pasta cooker! It is a great size for a small to medium family and is large enough that it does not easily boil over. Strainer lid is easy to secure in place.

Perfect size
Its great for smaller recipes. Iâve made soups and chili. The lid locks on and makes it super easy to drain pasta, boiled potatoes and boiled eggs. Washes up great too!

Excellent polish finish. Zero default on the item I received. The lid is easy to lock and pooring the water out of it is very easy because of the size. I would not go bigger, perfect for a family of 4.

This is a good product, works as advertised – the locking lid is a great design – but it’s overall lighter-weight than expected.Noticeably lighter than my Scanpan set.

This Pasta Pot is AMAZING! Previously I had a locking lid pasta pot but it was not induction compatible. This new one works great on my induction stove, and is so easy to clean. New favourite pot!!
