I am an experienced pie baker, and highly recommend the Lodge pie pans for your baking needs. They are versatile for both your baking projects with or without a crust. The pre-seasoned coating provides ease of cleaningâI consider them nearly non-stick. As with all cast iron, avoid soaking the pans!As far as weight, they are cast iron, so donât expect an aluminum pan experience. I am thrilled with my purchase, and now have four pans to support holiday and my season fruit pie baking projects.Good cooks need good tools. I love Lodge for providing USA made quality products at a reasonable price!!

Cast iron magic.
Its a Lodge. Taken care of properly, it can be passed down through multiple generations. Just oil the thing. And leave it to those that will appreciate the quality. Good cast iron can last an extremely long time. My sister is still using my great grandmother’s cast iron. How cool is that? (I’m not saying it’s a Lodge, just quality cast iron). And Lodge is quality. Perfect pies. What more do you want?

I have a recipe that calls for baking in a cast iron pan. My Ninja oven is small so I searched for something to fit. Arrived nicely seasoned and even after my first apple pie it washed up easily. It is lighter (not thinner) than I expected yet still a good weight. I am very pleased with this pan… and my pie!

Pie crust perfection
I love to cook with Lodge cast iron. I only recently got into baking pies and when I came across this pie pan I had to buy it. This pie pan is the right size and weight and cooks the pie crust perfectly. I just made a pie (blueberry) in this pan for the first time (pictured). The only downside is that you canât keep it in the fridge and need to take the pie out. That is just the nature of cast iron and not a deal breaker. If you take good care of your cast iron. it will last for generations.
